Exciting, Effective Science Lessons Available To Children!

Chemistry, biology and psychology can all be difficult subjects but with my lessons, I aim to help tackle the approaches to exam style questions, giving tips to memorising topics and hand made resources that I made in order for me to achieve 3A*s at A level.

I would also be happy to teach these subjects at a GCSE standard, as well as offer assistance to those in primary school for SATS or 11 Plus, as I have been tutoring my sister for three years.

I intend for lessons to be interactive, as well as productive, and hope that I am able to gain a connection with my students that will allow them to be comfortable!

I am a hardworking individual who is currently taking a gap year before reapplying to medicine. I have experience of teaching children of a variety of ages and have been tutoring my sister for the past three years. As she is ten years old, I tailor the lessons to make them more interactive for her such as using merit systems and playing kahoot games at the end of the session. I want to create a relaxing, yet productive environment for my students to work in.

I recently did my A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and achieved 3A*s. Prior to that, I did my GCSEs in English, Maths, Science, History, Art, Arabic and Islamic Studies, receiving a mixture of 8s and 9s.

I offer private lessons in Chemistry to school students following French, British, IB or American systems. Being a PhD-holder in Chemistry from Imperial College London, I also offer support to chemistry students at university level.
Classes are delivered online via Zoom.

In my classes:
- I encourage asking relevant questions and I am willing to repeat explanations as much as necessary.
- I use technological tools and web interfaces to provide visual support to verbal explanations, which I consider a key part of effective teaching.
- I share my own, tailored, class notes and encourage the student to take notes him/herself as practice.
- We solve problems and I also assign homework and correct it in the following lesson.

After my classes, I share my notes with my students to help them retain the information and revise.

In a biology class, students learn about cell structure and function, genetics, evolution, ecology, physiology, microbiology, botany, zoology, and molecular biology.

IN each session, you will receive feedback on how to improve for the next session. Additionally, a practice paper will be assigned as homework.
