Passionate about art, languages play an important role in understanding other cultures. For me, teaching French is not solely about knowing the words and sentences, it is also about sharing our common interests, films, music, books, and other cultural activities you might be curious about.

I am very sociable, enthusiastic and teaching French has always been a great way for me to relate to my own cultural background while helping others to learn a language.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

Experiences in teaching French:

During two years, I was a French Coach at Erasmus University, Rotterdam (Erasmus language sharing), where I taught French language to groups of approximately 10 students (beginner and intermediate levels) with an emphasis on arts and culture.

Besides, I have experience as a private tutor. I have been helping Dutch high school students with their homework, exams, preparing presentations, and speaking more colloquial French as well.

I also taught French to more advanced speakers. The classes mainly focused on conversation and sharing about French culture, including cinema, literature, music, food, daily life.

Other work experiences:

I have worked for Radio Grenouille in Marseille, including doing reportages during the Film Festival of Documentaries. Besides, I make contributions to magazines in the Netherlands, and several art institutions.

Hi! My name is Joana and I am originally from Luxembourg. Growing up in Luxembourg allowed me to be fluent in our three national languages: Luxembourgish, French and German (Native Proficiency).
After graduating from high school with a specialisation in modern languages and humanities, I moved to the United Kingdom to study Journalism. Living in London for over three years allowed me to perfect my written and spoken English. Since I've been 16, I have been giving private tutoring lessons both to primary and secondary school students.

I currently teach the following subjects:
•German
•French
•English

Based on the student's question, I discuss the grammatical or idiomatic problem and practice the applications with him / her. I read pieces of text with the student (e) and enter conversations in the relevant language. Depending on the problem, I also link back to earlier material because something has often gone wrong. I also look primarily at daily practical applicability of the substance.

I specialize in practical education. If you want to be able to help yourself in French and actively participate in conversations in the village, that is the purpose of my courses.
Age is not important. Are you young and do you want to participate more actively in social life or are you retired and want to live in France, my courses accompany both categories.

This class is for anyone interested in learning French from scratch or improving their current level. My aim is to provide my students with a strong foundation of the French language (grammar and vocabulary) but also a flavour of French culture. I assign homework every lesson and provide periodic progress reports. I tailor the lesson and homework content and the method of teaching to the student to make sure everyone has the chance to learn at their own pace. Ultimately though, I want my students to be able to comfortably chat in French and develop a love of this beautiful language.

My name is Paul-Antoine and I live in Amsterdam where I am a student. I am currently studying at the University of Amsterdam in the PPLE bachelor (Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics).
From French parents, I followed all my education in the French system abroad and I speak French fluently.
In these support courses which can be academic or simply an aid to the deepening of the language, I will bring my personal culture and my recent readings which will also allow the student to discover another facet of French literature. In addition, these courses are also open to those who simply want to learn French.
