Teaching Methodology
I also give online tuition, my teaching methodology mainly involves explaining concepts with examples by using Jupyter Notebooks. Then I practice one or two questions with the student. I am a certified communication scientist (WO, MSc.) who teaches computational data analysis methods in SPSS, Python, R and thesis supervision.

During the lessons we can cover the basics of computational methods or data analysis. I can also help you gain a better understanding of the data structure, design a questionnaire in QUALTRICS (or similar program), or collect data together with you. As a computer science student at the University of Amsterdam I can help students learn to program from scratch or progress if they already have experience. The student chooses what to study: programming in general (using pseudocode), Python or C. I scored 8.5/10 on the university’s C programming exam (the average being 5.5). Lessons take place online with screen sharing to work directly on the student’s code. I can also offer an introduction to the Linux terminal if needed.

I was part of the Belgian national cybersecurity team and represented the country at the European competition (ECSC) for the past two years. At the invitation of the Belgian government I also helped find vulnerabilities in the systems of the Belgian federal police and was awarded a medal by the Director General of the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium.

I know how to teach, adapt to each student and show patience thanks to the tennis lessons I give to children in the summer.
