Je suis Serge né d'une famille de griot, je commence la percussion à l'âge de 11 ans et progressivement je m'intéresse à la batterie au Cameroun, j'intègre plusieurs masters class de batterie et j'enseigne dans plusieurs centres de musique, et accompagne plusieurs artistes en tant que batteur. Installé au Maroc et à Tanger j'ai également tenu des cours de batterie et d'eveil musical avec l'association Tabadoul, Théâtre Darna, Shü Mom Art, tous basés sur Tanger. Je laisse du temps à mes élèves pour comprendre la profondeur du cours et assimiler les exercices qu'ils appliqueront dans tous les rythmes qu'ils voudront. Nous ferons le tour de tous les rythmes Africains, Orientaux, Occidentaux ect...

Apart from teaching the most amazing latin rhythms, In my lessons I apply the stick control book, to achieve a good technique, and at the same time I teach coordination and grooves, with the best methods and books from the most qualified drummers.

I'm a professional drummer from Spain, but living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I have studied Latin drums at Codarts, university of the arts, in Rotterdam, so I've acquired a lot of knowledge and skills on Cuban and Brazilian music, jazz, funk and Pop.

I am a working musician, recording artist, composer and performer based in London.

Apart from having years of experience with performing and recording, I've also taught drum lessons since I was 16 years old.

I am Keith, a Hong Kong percussionist based in Amsterdam and currently finishing my master degree in the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I have won several major international competitions and have great experience in performing. I have also taught privately and conducted masterclasses to inspire the next generation of percussionists.
The best thing of being a percussionist is that you can play and find music anytime anywhere! Whether if it's a timpani or your comb, you can produce so many different sounds and exciting rhythm. With one technique, you can almost play anything!
If you are a total beginner with music, percussion is one of the easiest way into it. Instruments sound nice already when you play them. Lessons start from knowing the pulse and developing your groove, to knowing the notes and establishing basic musicality. Then slowly you will explore the vast sound world of percussion, starting with drums, mallets instrument or any objects that you can think of!
If you are looking for more help in excelling in your craft, my professional experience can offer you great guidance and advice, no matter if it's technically or artistically, or even stage presence and healthy mindset.

Q: What other instruments except drumset can I learn from percussion?
A: With similar technique, you can play mallets instruments like marimba which has a warm healing sound, or orchestral instruments like triangle or tambourine. And with the rhythmic sense from learning drum set, you can literally play groove in the world, no matter if it is latin or asian or middle east! The sky is the limit!

Q: What do you value the most in your lesson?
A: Sincerity and curiosity. I hope we can have honest communication and I can offer you new inspiration every lessons.

Q: How do you keep your lessons engaging and fun?
A: It all starts with your own interest and passion. If you have a specific genre or instrument that you like, we will build your musical sense from there, even if it's death metal or jazz. I will offer you different kinds of exercises and ideas until you own the skill.

Wie ben ik?
Hoi, mijn naam is Ruben en ik ben gek op muziek! Ik ben op mijn 7e begonnen met drummen en ben er nooit mee opgehouden. Na de middelbare school heb ik aan de Rockacademie in Tilburg gestudeerd, waar ik me verder heb ontwikkeld als muzikant. Ik sta regelmatig zelf op het podium. Meestal als drummer, maar ook als gitarist.
Mijn liefde voor muziek deel ik graag met anderen. Door middel van de lessen die ik geef laat ik de leerlingen ervaren hoe leuk het is om zelf muziek te maken. Dit doe ik dan ook al meer dan 6 jaar met veel plezier. Daarnaast sta ik al 5 jaar voor de klas en geef ik regelmatig muziekworkshops.

I've been a drum teacher for over 35 years. I graduated with honors at Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. I have always been very active as a professional drummer on stage in my home country The Netherlands, all over Europe and other continents.

As a teacher, I always work from the needs and level of the student. I believe learning music should be fun as well as practical, so I combine technique with direct application in songs and playing with other instruments. My method focuses on gradually building control and confidence behind the drum kit.

A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up and technical exercises (sticks, coordination, timing). After that, we work on grooves or fills, often using a play-along track or music chosen by the student. In band lessons, the emphasis is on playing with other instruments, rehearsal structure, and stage presence: how to play tightly together, present yourself on stage, and how to deal with issues that might occur during your performance.

My specific skills lie in modern genres such as (indie) rock, metal, pop, and groove-based styles. As a mentor and an active performer in several bands, I can share not only technical knowledge but also stage experience, rehearsal tips, and help with gear recommendation and learning about auxiliary aspects (recording drums, stage tech, etc).

The lessons are intended for students and young musicians of all levels—from absolute beginners learning their first beat to advanced players refining their technique or bands who want to take their rehearsal and live performance to the next level. Group lessons and beginner band coaching are also available, where we work together on ensemble playing, communication, and performing.
