Who the lessons are for:

Intermediate and advanced musicians who want to move beyond patterns and automatisms and truly understand what they are playing.

How I work:

• We always start from concrete musical situations (playing, listening, improvising).

• Harmony is explored through functions, tensions, modal systems, modal interchange and alterations.

• Theory is treated as a practical tool, not as an abstract set of rules.

• Ear training is fully integrated into the practice.

• Improvisation is approached as harmonic thinking in action, with direct application to composition.

Approach:

My path, shaped through listening, composition and in-depth harmonic study, is reflected in a method that aims to reduce the distance between theory and practice while developing musical autonomy.

Each learning path is personalized; I do not follow standardized programs.
Musical notation is not central — the focus lies primarily on listening and functional understanding.

Lessons take place in person in Berlin.
No online lessons and no home visits.
Languages: English / German / Italian.

Ich bin Musiker und Musiklehrer in Berlin tätig.
Ich bin Gitarrist, Komponist und Improvisator mit über 25 Jahren musikalischer Erfahrung, die ich als Songwriter, Bandleader und Performer gesammelt habe.

Meine didaktische Arbeit entsteht aus dem Bedürfnis, die Lücke zwischen Musiktheorie und musikalischer Praxis zu schließen, wobei Hören, Wahrnehmung und das funktionale Verständnis musikalischer Zusammenhänge im Mittelpunkt stehen.

I am a musician and music teacher based in Berlin.
I am a guitarist, composer and improviser with over 25 years of musical experience, gained as a songwriter, band leader and performer.

My teaching practice is driven by the need to bridge the gap between music theory and real musical practice, placing listening, perception and the functional understanding of musical mechanisms at the center.

Mein musikalischer Weg entwickelte sich autodidaktisch durch Hören, Komposition und Improvisation und wurde durch jahrelanges selbstständiges Studium von Harmonie und improvisatorischen Prozessen ergänzt, mit besonderem Fokus auf die systematische Erforschung von Modi und Alterationen.

My musical path developed through a self-taught approach grounded in listening, composition and improvisation, supported by many years of independent study of harmony and improvisational processes, with a particular focus on the systematic exploration of modes and alterations.

Parallel zu meiner künstlerischen Tätigkeit absolvierte ich eine musikpädagogische Ausbildung und arbeite als Lehrer mit Einzelpersonen sowie Gruppen.

Alongside my artistic activity, I completed a professional training in music pedagogy (Ausbildung as Musikpädagoge) and work as a teacher with individual students and groups.

Hello everyone,

I give piano lessons in Lichtenberg, but can also move me.

Coming from classical school, I have the heart to transmit a good technique, but I often complete with solid notions of music theory. Basically my teaching aims to make you autonomous when you approach a new work.

Reading notes, deciphering, position of the body, working ranges - arpeggios - trills / work on the typical exercises of the Cortot school. Musical theory, how to build scales, alterations etc etc etc ......
We can tackle together the classical repertoire, the blues, some jazz, pop music ...

Hello! my name is Sarah. I have a certificate in Classical Piano Performance. I have years of experience in teaching music in different languages (Arabic, English, German and French).
In 2020 I finished my master's in Music Therapy in Germany. At the end of my studies, I did my research on online music playing and wrote my thesis on music interaction through online platforms which gave me a great deal of experience when it comes to online teaching. I'm originally from Spain, and although my native language is French, I also speak English fluently, so communication won't be a problem at all. Lessons can be conducted in English, French, or Spanish, depending on your preference.
