I am a native bilingual who has lived in Madrid and Majorca for a non consecutive period of 10 years, as well as living in England and The Netherlands. I have formal qualifications in Spanish as a Foreign Language, and experience tutoring teenagers and adults, as well as experience volunteering with young children. I also have experience learning foreign languages myself, and so have a sympathetic and effective approach to teaching. My specialisation is conversation practice, but I am adept teaching from complete beginners, as I have in the past, up to learners who have already completed some qualifications, or have an advanced level. My classes are conducted in English, which is also my mother tongue, so there are no translation or comprehension difficulties.

Spanish is a very useful language in today's globalised society. It is the second most spoken language in the world. Therefore, adding Spanish to one of your skills is highly valued. I am a native speaker and I studied Translation & Interpreting in Madrid and I am eager to teach the language in a fun, but at the same time, useful way. My name is Laia and I'm from Spain more specifically Barcelona.
I fluently speak 4 languages: Spanish, French, English and Catalan. My mother tongue is Spanish but I'm also fluent in French because I studied all my life in a french school.
