Generally it focuses on scientific study of the properties and behavior of matter. It covers the elements that make up matter to the compounds made of atoms, molecules and ions: their composition, structure, properties, behavior and the changes they undergo during a reaction with other substances. I studied Chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated there. During and after completing my PhD in Physical Chemistry I worked in Neutron Science and published numerous papers in Physical Sciences. You will learn the most important theoretical aspects of physical chemistry necessary for solving problems at National and International Chemical Olympiads and put them to use in a myriad of problems from previous Olympiads. We will walk through the solutions for problems from the Olympiads of different countries: Canada, Germany, France, Russia, Poland, and others. All problems will be translated into English, so you will be able to access material that your peers can't. Homework will include solving other problems from past Olympiads and doing simpler practice problems.
