I welcome students of all ages and levels who are eager to grow and discover new ways of learning the double bass. My teaching focuses on efficient practice, clear technique, and musical expression. Alongside regular lessons, I also mentor and prepare students for orchestra auditions, sharing my professional experience as Principal Double Bass of the Neubrandenburg Philharmonie and mentor for the Orchestra Academy. My goal is to help every student build confidence, skill, and joy in their playing.

I’m truly excited to work with students who share a curiosity for music and a love for the double bass. Teaching gives me the opportunity to pass on everything I’ve learned — not only about technique and sound, but also about how to think, feel, and communicate through music. Every student is unique, and I’m passionate about helping each one find their own musical voice, develop confidence, and practice with focus and purpose.
My name is Stefan, and I am the Principal Double Bass (1. Solo Kontrabass) of the Neubrandenburg Philharmonie in Germany, where I also serve as a mentor for the Orchestra Academy.
As a mentor and teacher, my goal is to help every student experience a fresh and efficient approach to learning — finding faster, smarter solutions and developing both musical and personal growth along the way.

Born in Serbia in 1989, I began my musical journey at an early age and have since built an international career as both performer and teacher. I studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Professor Christine Hoock, and later at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover with Professor Ekkehard Beringer, completing both my Master’s degree and Soloist Diploma (Konzert Examen).

Throughout my career, I have performed as soloist and principal double bassist with several orchestras, including the Neubrandenburg Philharmonie, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen, and as a guest with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, Staatsoper Hannover, Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, and Bayerisches Kammerorchester Bad Brückenau. I was also a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Essen Philharmonic Academy.
In 2014, I was a finalist at the Amsterdam Bass Convention, and I’ve received scholarships from the Rotary Club Germany and the Republic Foundation for the Development of Artistic Youth in Serbia.
