For the financial analysis you can also contact me for a course of 10 lessons in which you learn everything about the analysis of the financial statements:
- you get a basic understanding of the rules of accounting
- you recognize all parts of the financial statements and understand what they stand for
- you can deduce the health of a company from the annual accounts using various analysis techniques

About me
My name is Tom and I obtained my master's degree in Finance & Investments from Erasmus University. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge about topics such as business economics, economics, finance and accounting with everyone I mentor! During and after my studies I worked at an investor, investment bank and scientific research institute, and I am currently setting up my own company. I have been tutoring regularly since 2020; both to high school students and to adults pursuing a master's degree.

About my coaching
If you are struggling with a specific topic, we can see together what you are good at and what we can best focus on during the sessions. As a previous IGCSE & IB student graduate I understand the stress and difficulty in preparing for both the Mid-terms and End of year exams. The curriculum provided for both subjects will be based on deconstructing the theory into smaller sections which are then each focused on key vocabulary and factual information. Additionally, for each subject a clear essay structure for exams will be outlined and practised based on IGCSE & IB grading criteria. Dependent on how close the student is too their final or mid-term exams lessons will be personalized to improve on their limitations and conjointly a structured summary will be created to optimally succeed in their exams.

Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics and Industrial Economics are fundamental modules in virtually every Economics degree all over the world. However, university professors often overlook students' needs and difficulties and do not help them to really get into the topics taught.

I have a long experience in private tutoring and my goal is always to build together a learning path that is as natural as possible! My methodology is based on first listening to the student's difficulties to get an idea of the points to be strengthened. Looking for a highly experienced tutor for economics and/or business economics? Then you've come to the right place! I'm a former economics teacher with a first-degree teaching qualification who, since 2021, has dedicated myself entirely to tutoring various subjects. I did this because it allows me to do what I love most: explaining material, building student confidence, and working together to improve grades. This way, I've helped around 200 students achieve passing grades or even pass exams over the past few years!

Since I'm a former economics teacher, I can perfectly help you if you're struggling with this subject. I can also help you with business economics, as my Bachelor's in International Business and Master's in Finance were packed with business economics courses. I always enjoy completing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

The structure of the tutoring is always determined in consultation, but generally, I'm a big fan of starting on assignments as soon as possible. Why? Because then I can quickly see what you can already do and what you're still struggling with. I help with that. This way, I avoid unnecessary explanations of things you already know. Moreover, you can then immediately apply the explanations you do need to an assignment. This way, the material sticks much better.

By the way, if you prefer tutoring at home, but I live too far away, consider trying online tutoring. I'm very experienced in that. I always give online tutoring via Google Meet, using a digital whiteboard where I can draw, color, paste, and type. This way, I can explain/demonstrate everything perfectly. I then share everything I've written on the whiteboard with you via WhatsApp so you can review all the explanations and solutions at your leisure after the lesson. Super convenient!
