My name is Maïa and I work as a legal assistant in The Hague.
I've been giving spanish lessons for 6 years now, and it's an activity I really enjoy!

My objective is not to give purely theoretical courses but to play on the pragmatic side.
Indeed, I give a lot of importance to speaking and listening. I encourage my students not to be afraid to speak in Spanish and to overcome any existing barriers to the language.
While teaching them the essential rules of Spanish, I allow them to develop the language through games for the youngest, and short film clips for the oldest.
However, I often leave homework to my students. Indeed, in my opinion, you can't improve in a language if you dont be diligent.
In addition, I generally adapt to the student's interests to allow him/her to be more attracted to what I teach.

Unfortunately I don't speak dutch, but I'm bilingual in english and my other native language is French.

I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor) at Complutense University of Madrid. Later and determined by my love for languages, I completed the BA in Linguistics in Leiden University, following the Brain and Cognition specialization, which focuses in how language and second languages learning works in a neural level.
