The teacher is a Ugandan PhD student in International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He won a Government of Uganda Scholarship to pursue his undergraduate studies at Gulu University, gaining a first-class degree in Bachelor of Arts Education (History and Economics). Isa is also a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he studied for an MPhil in African Studies as a Commonwealth Scholar. He has more than eight years of teaching experience, both at the secondary school and university level. In the past, he has taught classes on European, British, African, US, Asian, and Middle East histories.
My history classes are suitable for the 10, 11, 12, and 13-year-old UK and IGCSE students (Cambridge International Curriculum) and AS and A-Level students (UK and Cambridge International). The learners will study history from political, economic, cultural, and social perspectives. They will develop an interest in understanding the past. Besides learning historical concepts such as cause, consequence, change, and continuity, learners will also gain a deeper understanding of global issues. Above all, students will develop higher-order thinking skills.
