Hi, my name is Andrew and I’m a musician and composer. I’ve been teaching for around 10 years - up until recently I was doing most of my teaching in person, but I’m now just in the process of making the transition into teaching online, for obvious reasons! I feel that online teaching can be a great way of learning a new instrument and actually has a lot of advantages. I will provide all necessary sheet music and materials, exercises, etc. as PDFs. My teaching approach is designed to guide you from the very first stages of learning an instrument through to an advanced level, while being flexible to the needs and desires of each student. I like to take into account as much as possible the musical tastes and preferences of the student when selecting repertoire to work on, as I think this is a great way of keeping motivation high! I’m happy to help with music A levels and GCSEs too, if that’s what you need! I teach pupils of all ages, from primary school age (older primary age is the youngest I would recommend for online lessons) up to older adult learners.
