Graduated with a Master's degree from EPFL - Gives Maths lessons for Compulsory School / Federal Maturity / 1st year EPFL, MAN, CMS / Bac
From 44 Fr /h
I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, where I also worked as a student assistant for 4 years, notably for the CMS (Special Mathematics Course), the MAN (Upgrade), as well as for several first-year Bachelor's courses. I also served as a corrector for multiple exam sessions and wrote a handout for a course for Master's students in Mathematics at EPFL. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to support many students in successfully completing their first year, often considered one of the most demanding.
Today, I offer private math lessons for all levels, from compulsory school to the federal maturity, as well as for Bachelor students needing support in subjects with a strong mathematical component.
Passionate about teaching, what I appreciate above all is seeing students' progress, their confidence and their growing understanding. My methodology is based on an intuitive understanding of concepts, through simple and clear examples, as well as structured support in reasoning. I place particular emphasis on solving exercises, because it is through regular practice that we consolidate our knowledge and truly progress in mathematics.

About Me
My name is Thomas, I just graduated from EPFL, where I earned a master's degree in mathematics. I'm currently on sabbatical while waiting to start my doctorate, and I'm taking the opportunity to give private math lessons and do substitute teaching at the gymnasium and compulsory school.
I am passionate about mathematics, especially number theory and the random and chaotic phenomena that can be observed in it. Outside of math, I enjoy playing guitar, cooking, and hiking.
What I love most is sharing this passion, sparking students' curiosity, and making math fun. For me, math shouldn't just be understood—it should also be fun to do!

Education
After obtaining my French scientific baccalaureate, I began my studies at EPFL in mathematics. I first obtained my Bachelor's degree, then more recently, my Master's degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science.
Experience / Qualifications
I was a student assistant for 4 years at CMS/MAN and for some first-year courses. I have been an exam corrector on multiple occasions. I am co-editor of the handout for the "Ergodic Theory" course given in the Master of Mathematics program at EPFL. I have also led popular science workshops to promote science, and math in particular. I am currently a substitute teacher at the high school and compulsory school.
