Technique and Lineage
My technical approach is rooted in the rebound-based methods passed down through the Murray Spivack tradition. I was taught by drummers who themselves trained in this lineage—helping you develop relaxed control, endurance, and tone.

Music as a Language
I teach music the way we naturally learn language: by listening and speaking before reading and writing. You’ll learn to feel rhythm, internalise timing, and express yourself on the drums. Reading and writing music are absolutely taught—but always in the right context, as tools to deepen your fluency and independence.

About Me
I'm an experienced educator and former professional drummer, passionate about helping others find their voice on the kit. I've taught students of all ages and backgrounds, and I believe music should be both serious and joyful.

My name is Paul

I'm a lifelong musician from Liverpool, UK and now living in Paris, France
I teach both drums and audio engineering to beginners and advanced students alike and
I want to bring my professional experience to you.

my drum lessons focus on musicality, tuning, grooves and listening
the rudiment lessons focus on making your playing articulate and easy
and the production course focuses on mixing and arrangement

I can show you how to improve your playing and recording in a structured and friendly way so you can have more fun with your music.

During my years of experience as a teacher, I developed different methods and exercises to teach drumming and music from beginners to advanced students. more important in my function is to have the ability to adapt since each student needs an individual and specific approach. Thus, although my teaching method is based on standardized concepts and exercises, the most important thing is to adapt to each student. I think the main interest is that the students can find the motivation to practice the instrument since the true learning is built by oneself. In this end, the most common is to use the songs chosen by the student and from this point of departure, to highlight the concepts that must be acquired.When it involves students of more advanced levels, I try to focus the teaching on a goal given together.

I am a professor of drums for several years in Paris and Ile de France. I took classes at the Departmental Radiation Conservatory of Montreuil. I play music (piano and drums) since my earliest childhood and want to share my knowledge.

This course is for children as adults!
It aims to play music and have fun learning.
The pedagogy is flexible and is especially adapted to the student, ie his age, his desires, his goals, the amount of work he can provide, etc.

I also organize workshops for primary schools, allowing children to discover percussion while having fun.
