Hello there!

I'm Sophia, living and working in Paris. I was born and raised in Budapest and moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 18, as I was given the wonderful opportunity to study at a prestigious university.

In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, reading, and making new friends. I consider myself an open-minded individual who is not afraid to take on new challenges.

I strongly believe that you cannot teach a language without having experienced learning one: I understand how the English language works and would like to pass on that knowledge to other people. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Experiencia / Calificaciones

Teaching and leadership experience:
I have completed a two-year-long leadership programme in Budapest, Hungary, in order to work as a camp leader in an international camp for 500-600 children. I worked there every summer, taught children about cultural topics in an informal way, in English as well as in Hungarian. Furthermore, I worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school for underprivileged children in Budapest.

Language experience:
I have been learning English since the age of 6, completed several exchanges in the US and the UK before moving to the UK to study at a top university in English. During my secondary school years, I took several English language exams: B2, CAE and IELTS as well - the preparation process differs depending on the specific exam, which I am able to provide help with.

It is said that this language was invented by the devil one day when he was drunk.
The Hungarian language belongs to the Uralic languages, a linguistic family of more or less 30 languages spoken by approximately 15 million people worldwide. Languages such as Mari, Erzya (spoken in Russia), Estonian and Finnish belong to this family. However, the most prominent Uralic languages are Finnish, Estonesian and Hungarian due to the number of speakers and national identity. The origin of this language family is said to be around the Volga River in Russia, but there are several theories, another says that it originated between the Oká River (also in Russia) and Poland. The first time mention of words belonging to this family of languages was identified was in the year 98 BC. C.
By the way, do not think that because of how extraordinary this language is, they do not accept it as an official language, it is one of the 24 official languages in the European Union.
