My classes, for beginner pianists, aim to discover the student's best learning approach and develop their playing style, in order to gain a foundational understanding and ability in classical piano.

Classes cover essential performance elements of classical solo piano, namely (in no particular order);
○Music theory and notation
○Sight reading
○Scales
○Fingering techniques
○Guided selection of performance pieces to suit the student's playing style.

A successful class allows for the student to influence the pace and content, with a focus on reaching their goals and eventually learning an entire piece of pop/classical music to performance level.

Información adicional

Lessons can be taught on student's own instrument - piano or keyboard, or on my own digital piano at my home. Theoretical studies can be taught remotely via webcam if preferred.

I am an encouraging and flexible piano teacher and musical guide. My teaching style is engaging and structured to allow students to optimise their musical ability and enjoyment of their learning journey. Each class ensures our harbouring of the student's personal musical interests and learning goals.

To allow each student to thrive, my goal is to discover the student's best learning practice, on which to build an effective lesson flow, with clear progression and regular constructive communication.

I am thrilled to work with beginner pianists of all ages and backgrounds and discover the joy of piano performance and self-expression, and the diversity of musical genres on piano.

Formación

I've completed all 8 classical pianoforte grade exams within the Royal Irish Academy of Music's (RIAM) framework. I began this intensive classical study at age 7, with a focus on performance throughout.

I initiated my private classical piano classes independently in 2021, having relocated to Amsterdam, Netherlands where I found Apprentus.nl to connect me to a fantastic community of aspiring musicians.
