Learning Mandarin can be joyful, imaginative, and deeply meaningful—for children, teenagers, and adults alike. In my class, students will not only build a strong foundation in Mandarin Chinese, but also develop an appreciation for Chinese culture, literature, and ways of thinking. Whether we are practicing everyday conversation, exploring a traditional tale, or discussing a Chinese poem, I adapt each lesson to fit the learner’s age, level, and interests. I bring a background in literary studies and a passion for communication to every session. For younger learners, I create playful, engaging lessons that build confidence and curiosity. For teens and adults, I offer thoughtful, structured guidance that opens the door to both fluency and cultural insight. Every class is a chance to connect—not only with the language, but with the stories and people behind it.
