I am Ana, a professional viola player who recently finished the Master in viola Performance at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. I really enjoy playing but also sharing with other musicians (or future musicians) everything I have learned during my years of study. I have more than 5 years of experience working with people of all ages and levels, and I consider myself a very open and flexible teacher. I strongly believe in a learning process adapted to each student ́s needs and interests.

I am a professional viola player who recently finished the Master in viola Performance at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. I consider myself a very open and flexible person and my main goal as a teacher is to provide my students with an individualized learning process, according to their needs and interests.

-Professional degree in Conservatorio Profesional de música de Vigo.

Dear violin lovers! I'm a violin teacher for 10 years now, I have been teaching in Portugal and the Netherlands. My lessons can be given in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.

Playing the violin is my passion, especially when I can pass on my knowledge and love for music to my students of all ages and levels.

I work as a team with you, finding the right method that fit your needs. What is important for me is to work on a good connection with the instrument and find the right basis for the start of your violin playing.
In my violin lessons, I would like also to share with you my musical knowledge, show you recordings of great violin players, prepare with you pieces that you always wanted to play and give you the tools so you can achieve your goals in music. I like to share the general knowledge of violin playing as well as basic and intermediate music theory lessons so you can enter in the world of music, but especially to have fun!!

My lessons can be shared between violin and theory together depending on what you are looking for.

The lessons will be at my house if you are in need of an instrument we can find one for you!

I did my Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the teachers Maria Milstein and Eliot Lawson and completed my Masters in Performance degree with excellency as well in Amsterdam under the guidance of Liviu Prunaru and Mathieu van Bellen while studying baroque violin with Shunske Sato.

I have my own violin class in Amsterdam, and I love teaching.

Let's explore together the music of the baroque era! Get to know the violin and the viola in their baroque setting- experiment with features such as gut strings and historical bows. The lessons are adapted to your wishes and needs: a beginner will have different goals than an experienced player. There is wealth of material for all levels and interests, let's find out together what's the best for you!
The core of the lesson is always the expression of music! We will work through building technique, grasping theoretical knowledge, and learning about the historical context. And if all that sounds a bit serious, let's not forget that the best way to learning is playfulness and a will to experiment!

About the lesson:

Specialized in jazz classes at least at all levels – with absolute beginners at the top of the speakers.

From 10 days to 10 days, you will be able to listen to your music via private channel without listening to music. Since March 2024 I teach at De Leerorkest in Amsterdam and De Gooische Muziekschool.

My lessons are based on fun, patience and attentive listening. I tailor each lesson to the student’s personal goals and interests – whether that’s classical music, folk music or improvisation. If you listen to some of the music you have inspired, you will be able to put the structure into effect.
