I'm available for hourly sessions where we can practice increasing the fluency, comprehension, speaking, or writing level you're at with the English language.
I'm open to planning and customizing lessons based on your level of ability, but also your general comfort level. We can also work with the materials you bring if that's something you want to do. But I do want to make sure that you're being challenged (or are challenging yourself) enough or in ways that feel meaningful to you!
I'm happy to work with anybody, in any age group, and for any purpose. I'm also a freelance copyeditor, so we can work with texts, essays, speeches, e-mails, forms, etc. I'm very flexible in terms of what we can work on or work with, so just send me a message if you have any particular needs, preferences, or concerns. We'll work something out!

It's best if you're able to communicate in English at least to a degree where we're able to communicate on very basic terms. We can establish a starting point from there, and also talk about your objectives or where you'd like to be.

Tutoring can be a little bit uncomfortable at first, for both tutor and learner alike, because we don't know each other very much and it takes a while to find our bearings also in terms of communication. But I find that this usually goes away very quickly, after which it's fun for me to be able to celebrate the learner's victories with them, whether they're based on receiving a good grade or on having the confidence to use the English language more.

I really appreciate learners who take the time and care to be intentional with their learning process. Asking questions and voicing doubts or challenges is also a positive thing. Depending on how you tend to use the language, the learning can also be very collaborative, which is fun. But I'm really flexible and open-minded so as long as you're benefitting, learning, and finding it meaningful, I'm happy.
