I teach kids and young adults ages 7 to 16 who are still in the beginning stages of their piano learning journey. During the class, my students will be introduced to music theory, learn how to read notes, and improve their piano playing skills by learning a piano piece. The focus of the class is to build a solid musical foundation that will last. Nonetheless, I try my best to keep my classes exciting and adjust them based on individual needs.

- Note-reading
- Learning a piece + tips
- Sheet music to take home

I have 13 years of experience playing classical piano and am currently studying music production here in Berlin.

People have said that I have a talent for teaching! And to hear this soothes my heart. Music has been a part of my life ever since I was little. I'm currently an artist and a music producer, though my path started with classical piano. I remember teaching piano pieces to everybody around me including my family and friends. Nothing makes me happier than seeing others improve. I'm here to share a piece of my mind and introduce my students to the magical world of music.

Opleiding

I went to a music school for 7 years and got my diploma in the major of classical piano.
I now moved to Berlin to study BA in music production and just finished my first year.

Leservaring

I have 13 years of experience in classical piano, and I've been making my own music for 6 years now, which gives me enough experience to understand different concepts of music theory, arrangement, and sound.

Liebe Musikfreunde,
ich unterrichte mit viel ausprobieren und Freude am Klavierspielen.
Egal welche Motivation- ob Noten lernen, ein spezifisches Stück zu spielen oder Lieder begleiten, ich werde praxisnah arbeiten und gebe Hausaufgaben, damit du auch unabhängig von mir lernst Klavier zu spielen.
Ich unterrichte seit vierzehn Jahren, studierte Musikpädagogik, Klavier und Cembalo und durch viele LehrerInnen und SchülerInnen benutze ich viele lustige Wege, um schnell lernen zu können. Dieses Jahr werde ich mich auf Erwachsene und Jugendliche fokussieren.
Ich freue mich auf euch. Wenn du 15 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad von mir wohnst, komme ich auch zu dir nach Hause, sonst unterrichte ich in der Universität der Künste oder bei mir zu Hause.

Dear Pianoteacher searchers !
If I should describe my piano lessons I would say that they are very playful! The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practise and make progress :)
It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Otherwise I will be teaching in Universität der Künste or at my home.

Mein Name ist Marina, ich bin 32 Jahre alt und wohne seit 5 Jahren in Berlin.
Ich bin eine diplomierte Pianistin mit langjährige Klaviererfahrung.

Ich habe große Freude daran, anderen das Klavierspielen beizubringen. Deshalb biete ich Klavierunterricht für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene jeden Alters an und freue mich, mein Wissen an euch weiterzugeben.

I view teaching vocals and songwriting as a therapeutic, holistic process, where my students learn techniques and practical tools that help them hone their craft, but also work through psychological blockages that make them into greater artists.

Like with languages, intuition plays a huge part in learning an instrument. Most often in music, the correct choice will the the one that ~feels~ the most natural. This is what my teachers, from when I was a kid, all the way to the end of my studies at the conservatory, have prioritized in lessons; Working less hard to sound better.

I’m here to help you in the same way, to decipher with you certain sounds, certain gestures in recorder playing, so that we can map out together your skill set, and eventually find your own style of play.

When it comes to the grammar part of music, I’m ready to teach you everything about reading notes, intervals, chords, and all the principles of music theory, with examples and fun exercises.

I am a very patient person, and have experience with beginners as well as “matured” amateurs :)

I hold a masters in early music, along with a bachelors in classical composition.

My dream is to live from composition mainly, writing music for concerts, film and ballet. Currently I’m working on a ballet commission from the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, and more original music for a series of concerts next summer in France.

My favorite composers are Bartok... and a bunch of anonymous medieval ones.
