Class Description

I offer a unique approach to English for children based on language, imagination and emotional connection.

Having lived and studied in Australia, and with a strong background in family and child psychology, I do not teach English as a traditional lesson. I create an experience in which children learn naturally through movement, stories, music, conversation and creative activities.

My classes are especially suitable for children who need more than a standard teacher – children who learn through atmosphere, attention and encouragement.

I work individually and adapt each class to the child's personality, interests and level. The goal is not only to improve English, but to help the child feel confident, expressive and curious.

I lived and studied in Australia, travelled widely and for the last years have been deeply studying child development, family psychology and modern approaches to learning.

My lessons are not traditional tutoring. I create a calm, inspiring atmosphere where children begin to speak English naturally, feel confident and enjoy learning.

I work especially well with sensitive, creative and intelligent children and I adapt each lesson to the child’s personality, interests and pace.

My name is Denise I’m a Mexican Spanish as Foreign Language tutor (ELE Español Lengua Extranjera as acronym) certified by "Escuela Internacional Cervantes" with a Bachelor in Spanish Literature by the University of Nuevo León Mexico (UANL).

I started teaching and tutoring Spanish at a very young age helping my colleagues from High School achieve better scores and later I formalize this activity while finishing my university studies.
For the last seven years, I’ve been teaching Spanish in America and Europe to a broad variety of students: children/teenage tutoring, in-company adult students, online orientation and freelance translation for diverse projects.

I follow a flexible method adapting to the student’s level and personal goals.
During our classes the student will receive exercises, activities and extra resources as a plus for their class time.

Currently, I’m a masters student at UW in Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft. I completed a degree in Romance Languages at Duke University (currently ranked 10th in the US and 25th in the world, depending on which ranking you adhere to). German B1 is the preparation in German for the ÖSD and ÖIF B1 exam. There is a textbook included
12 lessons and 4-5 participants can take part in the course. The course can also be completed alone
and generally take place with me.
Course duration is usually 2.5 months. There is a course confirmation.

Courses from A1-C2 can be taken.

There are also language courses in French and English.

I've been teaching since 2017 and am currently specializing in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I've also been working at the Cervantes Institute in Vienna as a collaborating teacher since September 2023 and have had students of a wide age range. This experience has given me a great ability to adapt to the needs of each of my students.

I am also a DELE examiner for levels A1-A2/B1 for schoolchildren and B1-B2, so I am familiar with the certification tests.
