"Without music, life would be a mistake." - N. Music is my passion. I have been playing and teaching ukulele for over 4 years now.

I approach my classes through a creative problem-solving approach. I first understand my student's level. I focus more on customized learning through experience than a theory-based system. I believe in intuitively understanding the concepts than the traditional approach to music.

I love singing and there's nothing more in this world that makes me feel alive than music. I have done regional shows in India and Italy. I learned to play music during my masters where I reconnected with instruments - Ukulele and Guitar. Now is the time to give back to my community by teaching.

With 20 years of experience as a guitar teacher and as a professional musician, I like to pass on my passion for the guitar to others.
I teach at all levels; from beginners to advanced, and specialize in jazz, flamenco, classical, bossa nova, rock, funk and metal.

I have been a guitar teacher for over 20 years, giving private lessons, teaching at music schools (Kraainem, Waterloo, Enghien), and leading workshops (AKDT). I started playing guitar 30 years ago and have never stopped. I've explored all styles: from classical to pop songs, then electric guitar: blues, rock, and jazz (with Frankie Rose). Later, I developed my skills in flamenco (with Karim Baggili), Brazilian music (with Osman Martins), Gypsy music, and Eastern European music (with Tcha Limberger). I am also well-versed in Gypsy jazz. Therefore, I can teach all levels and styles. I teach music theory alongside the practical exercises so that the material is absorbed naturally. I have experience teaching both children and adults. I also teach electric bass and ukulele.

- Surtout travail sur une partie ou le morceaux entier de votre choix que j'adapte à votre convenance ( possibilité d étudier un nouveau morceaux à chaque cours ).

- Technique ( rythme, riff, solo, arpège ...) harmonie et théorie ( construction des accords et des gammes ...) appliquées sur l'instrument.

Hello, welcome to my ad!

My name is Matéo and I am 26 years old. I have been playing guitar for 9 years and teaching it for 5 years. After studying at the conservatory and music school, I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM) specializing in jazz guitar. Over the years, I have been able to accompany around forty students, both in private lessons, group lessons and at the conservatory where I teach today.

OPTION1) The course I offer is aimed at beginner to intermediate level guitarists, of all ages (children too!), in acoustic and electric guitar.
My goal is to give you the essential basics of the instrument (body position, technique, chords) as well as an understanding of fundamental musical concepts (rhythm, ear, reading tablature and/or music theory) which will be very useful to you as a musician.
We will base our learning as quickly as possible on real pieces of music, if possible suggested by the student because I think that learning by playing the music you like is the most motivating method.
As a teacher, I have always adapted as best I could to each profile to make them learn in the way that suited them best, make them play the music they like, help them with their difficulties and push them to surpass themselves in their abilities.
Finally, I always make sure that the lessons take place in a calm and pleasant atmosphere so that the student progresses at their own pace and learns while having fun.

OPTION 2) This course is for intermediate to advanced guitarists (and musicians in general) who want to acquire a deeper understanding of music theory. What we can cover, depending on your needs: analysis, harmony, composition, transcription, improvisation, music theory, ...

Lessons can take place at my home, in the 15th arrondissement, or at the student's home where I can travel (for an extra) within a reasonable radius.

Cela fait maintenant 10 ans que je donne des cours de guitare et de basse à plus de 30 élèves chaque année. J’ai derrière moi 16 ans de pratique ainsi qu’une bonne connaissance de l’harmonie, de l’arrangement et du jeu en groupe.

- des cours de guitare rock/blues/pop/funk/variétés/Jazz/... tous niveaux aussi bien sur acoustique qu’électrique.

Objectifs des cours :

Si vous êtes novice, vous pourrez commencer par une prise en main rapide de l’instrument en débutant sur des morceaux de votre choix. Je vous apprendrais les bons positionnements du corps et des mains, à les synchroniser par des exercices efficaces.
Apprentissage du jeu aux doigts main droite ainsi qu’au médiator.

Si vous avez déjà quelques années de pratique, les cours vous permettront d’approfondir la compréhension de votre instrument en améliorant votre connaissance du manche, ainsi que la construction de vos solos et de vos improvisations. (gammes, trouver un accord tout seul, quelles notes choisir en contexte de jeu...).

-SOLFEGE NON OBLIGATOIRE mais solfège mélodique et harmonique pour ceux qui le désirent.

J’organise aussi des sessions de jeu en groupe optionnelles pour ceux qui le désirent tout au long de l’année selon le nombre de volontaires le samedi. Vous pourrez vous initier au jeu en groupe et créer des liens avec d’autres élèves
