We focus on "Diagnostic Teaching" identifying the specific mechanical or conceptual barriers holding you back and creating bespoke exercises to move you past technical ruts. We can also dive into professional songwriting, practical music theory, and home recording workflows using Logic or Ableton. This is industry integrated learning designed to meet real-world standards.

Hi,

I'm Ally. I’m a guitarist, producer, and music teacher with 23 years of professional experience and over a decade spent in the classroom. I’ve mentored over 500 students of all ages and levels, helping them find their own voice on the instrument.

What really drives my teaching is a simple goal: I want to develop independent musicians who eventually don't need me at all. I know how frustrating it is to feel "stuck" or unsure of how to actually get better. That’s why my lessons are relaxed and supportive, but always practical every session comes with a clear, structured practice plan so you are improving between our meetings, not just during them.

Whether we are working on technical development, fretboard visualization, or professional songwriting, I tailor everything to your pace and what actually matters to you.

I studied there for seven years with renowned professors such as Jean Paul Ceccarelli (Sting), Pierre Bertrand, Robert Persi or Philippe Petit.

I know a fairly wide repertoire of music and master the basics of music theory or what we could call the musical 'theory' of the guitar. If certain pupils are interested in learning by an equally theoretical route, the teaching will be adapted accordingly. Trained at the Music Academy International, I propose private lessons of Guitar, Singing, and/or Audio Production centered on amplified music (funk, soul, jazz, rock, blues, etc.) and adapted to the requests of each student.

My classes are open to all, children and adults, beginners or advanced. I attach great importance to the understanding of the technical tools implemented in the interpretation of the pieces, a typical lesson is therefore divided between technical work with clear explanations and actual practice on songs to play or sing.

If the student is interested, I also teach the more theoretical aspects of music, such as harmony (scales, chords, modes, improvisation), music theory, rhythm, ear training, and deciphering.

I also offer coaching sessions. These are non-regular sessions to target work on specific aspects of the requested repertoire.
Each lesson is accompanied by work material (paper or audio) to practice at home.

For guitar lessons, an instrument can be made available, for singing lessons, I accompany the student on the piano or the guitar (it is also possible to use backing tracks when the key and tempo are right ) and for audio production, I can provide the software required to start on any operating system (Win, Mac, and Linux) (I don't work with pirated software).

Classes are given in my studio in Etterbeek, 5-minute walk from La Chasse.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d’un professeur de guitare, c'est que vous savez certainement que l'apprentissage de la musique peut non seulement stimuler la créativité de votre enfant, mais aussi renforcer sa concentration, sa persévérance et sa conscience corporelle. Fournir ces outils aux adultes de demain me semble indispensable, voilà pourquoi il est tellement important pour moi de donner des cours.

Mes cours de guitare ont pour but de faire découvrir aux élèves le large répertoire de l’instrument (de la musique classique aux musiques actuelles). L’élève développera ses capacités à travers l’apprentissage de morceaux attractifs. Une fois les bases acquises, il pourra aussi s’essayer à l’improvisation et à la création de ses propres morceaux.

Les leçons que je donne combinent théorie et pratique afin de permettre à l’élève d’appliquer immédiatement les principes vus en cours dans un cadre concret. Ces deux aspects combinés permettent de développer l’aspect ludique de la pratique musicale.

J’organise deux « Concerts des Élèves » par an afin de donner un objectif concret aux cours, et également de permettre à mes élèves de se rencontrer et de jouer ensemble.

Giovanna raised and formed in Florence, where she began her guitar studies at the age of five at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. In September, she graduated cum laude and she's currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, studying with Antigoni Goni.

Winner of many international competitions, she performed plenty of times in Italy and in 2023 she has held a solo concert in Milan for the XXXVIII Società Umanitaria's concerts season. Next to renowned guitarists, such as Luigi Attademo and Giorgio Albiani, she performed the world premiere of Álvaro Company’s Concert Català for ten guitars, in the revision by Vincenzo Saldarelli.

Alongside her performing activity, Giovanna has developed a strong dedication to teaching adults, children, and teenagers. She tailors each learning path to the individual student, carefully balancing personal interests with technical and artistic development, whether for amateur musicians or students preparing for conservatory admission. Her teaching approach places particular emphasis on physical awareness and well-being, guiding students toward healthy and efficient use of the body while playing. Music theory is fully integrated into her lessons and is always connected to practical application on the instrument.
