I specialize in music production and composition, as well as audio engineering. My goal is to give the most useful tools for composing, producing, and arranging music, and going through the technical process to make it sound professional.

This class is for aspiring music producers and studio audio engineers. The focus is to learn how to navigate the creative challenges of music composition and the technical tools for music production. You'll learn many different techniques and concepts to stay creative and make your music sound the best it can.

If you're new to music production, no problem, we'll take it from the basics. If you already know your way around, it's time to make some music together!

My name is Juan. I'm a professionally educated music producer and sound engineer from Colombia, and I've had the chance to lead my own music and audio production company, One Touch Sound, for the last five years.

I believe the gift of music and the knowledge around it should be shared with the world. Because of others who believe so I have learned and become experienced at my craft, and want to give some of that back.

The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.

I mostly focus on classical music theory, but can also provide an introduction to jazz and pop music theory.

This class introduces the core concepts of film scoring and how music shapes story, emotion, and narrative in film and television. Students will learn how to support and move images through music, exploring timing, mood, theme, and structure. Lessons are tailored to each student’s interests and level, from complete beginners to advanced composers, and can focus on electronic, orchestral, or hybrid approaches.

The course also includes analysis and deconstruction of existing film scores to understand compositional techniques and storytelling strategies. Students will learn how to set up and optimize their digital audio workstation for film scoring, define personal creative goals, and work with industry-standard orchestral sample libraries and synthesizers such as Spitfire Audio, Orchestral Tools, and Cinematic Studio Series. Films with sound design and no music can be provided for hands-on scoring exercises, enabling practical experience working directly to picture.
