I hold a Master in Classical Violin Pedagogy, issued by the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne and I offer violin lessons for all ages and for all levels! Different styles of music possible: classical, klezmer, jazz, Irish, pop music, covers of all kinds, improvisation, etc. I also have a second Masters in improvisation and composition from the Lucerne Conservatory of Music.

Passionate about Pedagogy, I teach violin since 2013, for all ages and all levels. I graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Bachelor and Orchestra Master), and from the Hochschule der Kunste Bern (master in pedagogy).

The course begins with tuning to strengthen the musical ear.
Depending on the level, a scale is offered or simply a rhythm or note game to strengthen memory.
This is followed by a short piece of left-hand technique, then right-hand technique, then improvisation on posture, and finally a piece from a repertoire in the last part of the course.

At the end of the course, I suggest exploring a new composer to deepen our knowledge of music history and listening skills. It is important in this course to guide the student, adapt the teaching methods, and establish clear progress tracking for successful development.

This course is aimed at beginner and intermediate students of classical violin, jazz and contemporary music.

For beginner students:
We cover technical elements such as violin and bow positioning and holding, bow movement, left-hand placement, scales, and positions. We also work on developing ear training and rhythm. We may also introduce basic music theory concepts, such as reading notes.
Finally, we work on learning pieces, according to the student's desires and musical styles.

For intermediate students, here are different approaches depending on their musical styles and desires.

For jazz and improvised music: scales or arpeggios that can be played on a given chord, modes and their use, rhythm, improvisation exercises, phrasing (swing, Latin, funk, etc.), learning jazz standards, how to amplify on stage, etc.

For classical music: scales and arpeggios, technical exercises for the left and right hand, how to put together a piece, musicality and interpretation.
