Hello! I am Claudia, and I am a graduate of a Master in Linguistics and a Bachelor of Foreign Languages. I am currently a researcher at the University of Barcelona, and I deal with intercultural communication and linguistic diversity. I am also a freelance teacher.

I have been teaching French and Italian for more than five years in several European countries (Italy, Belgium, Spain, and France), meeting almost all kinds of student profile (school students, university students, individuals, business employees, expatriates, amateurs, etc.).

My centres of interest are languages and cultures. For me, learning a language means, first of all, understanding its contexts and background. That is why I use cultural content as a stimulus to improve my students' linguistic and communicative competences. Italian is my language, my culture, my history. French is my second home, as I lived there for several years. It would be a pleasure to share these languages and amazing cultures with you!

after successfully obtaining my French Baccalauréat and a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema (Licence) with High Honors, I am currently working at the Institut Français in Duesseldorf, where I did a seminar to become examiner for the French DELF tests. I also work with schools and promote this language to a young public, and therefore developed a high pedagogical quality during this last year.

I am therefore ready to help you in all your needs with this language, which can be quite tough sometimes (think about pronounciation and exceptions to the rules), and which I struggled myself to learn before obtaining a high professional level.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.

My name is Chiara and I'm a qualified italian teacher for foreigners with a DITALS certification taken by the school "Leonardo da Vinci" in Florence. After having passed my exam, I have done an internship in the same school and then I have worked here for a while. During this experience, I had the possibility to work with people from all around the world offering them classes that matched their desires: from A1 to B2. Therefore, more than once I have helped my students to pass the CILS exam, in order to achieve the Italian citizenship.
