History and politics have always been a passion of mine and I am very much willing to teach anyone who desires any tutoring. At times it can be very difficult and overwhelming if you need to make an exam or write an essay - I can be there to help in case you need guidance! The goal here would be to make you understand history better, organize patterns in your head and possibly make you love the subject! This should definitely help in either expanding your worldview, or enhancing your history grades. I am willing to teach history (or politics/maatschappijleer) in Dutch or English.

I have little preference in regard to eras or themes in history, but if you must know I especially enjoy political and military macro-history. The grand patterns throughout history fascinate me, with of course, attention to large events. No era or area is particularly strange to me, again, being able to process history is the goal here!

The grand goal is to get a basic, intermediate or advanced understanding in one of the subjects. I could, possibly, rehearse with you and ask you how fluent you are in the topics at hand. I am fully willing to adapt to the student his or her academic needs. In case you wish me to help you in structuring or writing a history essay, then this, too is no problem!

Kunstegeschiedenis en kunstbeschouwing

Ik laat je kennis maken met de kunsten vanaf het begin van onze beschaving tot aan hedendaagse kunststromingen. Waarbij het leggen van relaties tussen individuele kunstenaars en maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen een belangrijke rol speelt.

We gaan naar tentoonstellingen waarbij ik je leer kijken en analyseren welke manier de kunstenaar zijn werk maakte en waarmee hij bezig was en indien van toepassing wat over wilde brengen met zijn werk.
De training in kunstbeschouwing is onderdeel van de lessen. Wat ervaar en herken je in het werk van een kunstenaar en hoe past jou interpretatie in je culturele bewustzijn. Op verzoek zal ik inzoomen op specifieke kunstenaars.

We gaan ook op bezoek gaan bij een kunstenaar in zijn atelier en met hem van gedachten wisselen.

I introduce you to the arts from the beginning of our civilization to contemporary art movements. Where establishing relationships between individual artists and social developments play an important role.

We go to exhibitions where I teach you to look and analyze how the artist made his work and what he was doing and if applicable wanted to convey something with his work.
The training in art reflection is part of the lessons. What do you experience and recognize in the work of an artist and how does your interpretation fit into your cultural awareness. On request I will zoom in on specific artists.

We will also visit an artist in his studio and exchange ideas with them.

Over welke thema’s zou je een film willen maken? In deze workshop leer je jezelf en je fascinatie kennen: de basis van de ontdekkingstocht naar wie je bent als filmmaker.

De eerste stappen in het jezelf leren kennen als storyteller zijn gezet. Misschien wil je graag anderen interviewen of wil je een film maken over dieren. Toch moet je een laag dieper duiken in de wereld van jouw verhaal, voordat je een stap naar buiten kan zetten. Iedereen heeft een eigen verhaal, maar hoe ga je van je fascinaties naar het vinden van jouw story?

Elke grote filmmaker is ooit begonnen met experimenteren. In deze workshop gaan we onze eigen documentairefilm maken van 1 minuut. Je leert op de stoel van de regisseur zitten, duikt in de wereld van monteren en gaat weg met je eigen film. Van fascinatie tot film: you did it!

As a self taught editor, i always wished for some guidance when it came to figuring out how to go about making an edit, finding sponsers, following trends and networking. What kind of content are we making? What is the clients brand? How do we ensure the viewer stays entertained throughout the video? What are the sponsors wishes and how do we meet them? Iedereen leert anders. Ik geef daarom les zoals jij dat wilt. Jij bepaalt wat je wilt leren en hoe, onder andere wanneer jouw les plaatsvindt en hoe lang de les duurt.

Ik geef kunstgeschiedenis aan iedereen die wil, ongeacht leeftijd of niveau, online of bij mij thuis in Velp. Je kunt leren over onder andere de beeldende kunst, muziek en literatuur van de prehistorie t/m nu. Je kunt werken richting een examen/tentamen/opleiding of gewoon leren vanuit interesse. Of het nu gaat om de david van Michelangelo of de graffiti op de muren van Dubai, ik vertel je er graag over. Er is van alles mogelijk.

Ik ben opgeleid tot musicus/schrijver en docent. Ik heb al meer dan 10 jaar ervaring in het onderwijs en geef onder andere al een aantal jaar kunstgeschiedenis, muziekgeschiedenis, creatief schrijven en andere vakken aan de bovenbouw van een kleine middelbare school, waar ik ook teamlid ben. Ik schrijf lesmateriaal, dat op diverse scholen in het middelbare en hogere onderwijs gebruikt wordt. Ik heb veel ervaring met vernieuwend onderwijs en het één op één lesgeven.
