Hello! My name is Helen and I provide online English tuition. I am a native speaker with a neutral accent and I live in Scotland. I can help you to speak English as native speakers do and introduce you to life in the UK. I am friendly, enthusiastic and easy to talk to. I have a qualification to teach English (CELTA). I give lessons on Zoom and use Google Classroom to share homework and other material. I love chatting in English and finding out about my students’ interests. I plan high-quality lessons on interesting topics. In the lessons, we focus on speaking, listening and grammar. For homework afterwards, I will give reading and writing tasks. I would be happy to adapt the classes to suit you. I have a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the Centre of English Studies, Edinburgh. It is an intensive course which lasts for one month and provides valuable skills and experience in teaching English as a foreign language. I also have a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh. I have a variety of experience in teaching roles. I previously worked part-time as a one-on-one Maths Tutor for high school students. I also volunteered as an English teacher in an orphanage in India.
