Private English Tutoring: All Ages and Levels Accepted

Tutoring sessions are aimed at improving students' level of English whether they are currently a beginner or more advanced. If the student is using tutoring to supplement other English classes, we can work through homework and lessons to aid in understanding. Otherwise, I can provide activities to work on English speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Originally from the United States, I am living in Reims this year and working as an assistant English teacher in two middle schools.
I am good at communication and creative when it comes to thinking of ways to learn. I appreciate enthusiastic students but I understand that learning a new language is very difficult and can be frustrating. As someone that learned French later, I can relate.
I believe that the best way to learn a language is to find things that you are interested in and can do in that language. For example, I love reading so I try to read thrilling books in French. That way, I am interested and even if I don't understand all the words, I am compelled to keep going. Another example is that I like making new friends so I try to always speak to people in French when I am out at a bar.

Teaching: I currently work with kids age 11-15 for their English classes. During college, I worked with Spanish speaking children, helping them with their homework and other activities. During high school, I tutored kids at an after-care program at a local elementary school.
Coaching: For many years, I was a lifeguard at a pool where I coached diving and swimming for kids.
Children: I have a lot of experience babysitting children of all ages, so I am very competent at communicating with kids and making connections with them.
