Hi everyone I’m Melika. I’m a 23-year-old electrical engineering master’s student. I’m really passionate about helping students in both math and physics, and I’ve always enjoyed explaining concepts to my friends during my school years. I study in the U.K. and can teach in both English and Farsi.

I am currently in the final semester of my masters studies. I completed my bachelors in electrical eng. in 2024. Now im studying microelectronics in the uk. Think of me not as a teacher, but as a friend guiding you through each concept. I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.

I have a thorough knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for middle and high school (from 6th to 12th grade). I am also qualified to support students in preparing for international exams such as the SAT, the OMPT, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in all its variations: Analysis and Approaches (AA SL/HL) and Applications and Interpretation (AI SL/HL).

Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. The strength of my teaching approach lies in my ability to explain, in simple terms, anything a student finds complicated. I am passionate about this profession because it offers me the opportunity to guide struggling students toward success. It is a true pleasure to see them progress and rediscover their connection with the fascinating world of mathematics.

I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. Suivant les demandes, des séances de cours peuvent être précédées de mouvements de brain gym pour faciliter l'apprentissage. L'avantage est qu'une fois acquis ces mouvements peuvent se faire seul à la maison.

Je propose des remises à niveau ou des renforcements des capacités acquises pour tous les années de l'enseignement secondaire ou de l'enseignement de promotion sociale. (secondaire inférieur et supérieur).
Dans le cadre de ma pratique et en fonction de la demande, je complète les séances par des exercices complémentaires car "les maths passent par le poignet" comme j'ai l'habitude de dire aux élèves.

Passionate & empathetic teacher. I have a Master's in Physics with honors from the University of Leicester (which was featured at the time as a top 5 Physics university in the UK by The Guardian) and a - french - European School diploma in which I achieved 90% in Physics and 85% in Maths.

Helping others understand difficult topics and skills is something that I am very passionate about as an empathetic person. Je propose des cours particuliers en mathématiques, physique et chimie du CP à la Terminale, avec une approche à la fois rigoureuse, progressive et personnalisée. Mon objectif n’est pas seulement d’aider l’élève à améliorer ses notes, mais surtout de lui permettre de comprendre en profondeur les notions scientifiques et de développer une véritable autonomie dans son raisonnement.

Les matières scientifiques reposent sur la logique, la méthode et la régularité. Très souvent, les difficultés ne viennent pas d’un manque de capacité, mais de bases fragiles ou d’une méthode de travail inadaptée. Lors des premières séances, je prends le temps d’identifier précisément les points de blocage : incompréhensions sur des notions fondamentales, difficultés dans la résolution d’exercices, manque d’organisation ou de confiance. Ce diagnostic me permet d’adapter immédiatement le contenu et le rythme des cours.

Je veille toujours à consolider les bases avant d’aller plus loin. En mathématiques comme en physique-chimie, chaque chapitre s’appuie sur les précédents. Une fragilité sur les fractions, les équations, les conversions d’unités ou la proportionnalité peut rapidement bloquer la compréhension de notions plus complexes. Je reprends donc les fondamentaux si nécessaire, de manière claire et structurée, afin de sécuriser les acquis.

Pendant les séances, j’accorde une grande importance à la compréhension réelle des concepts. Une part essentielle de mon travail consiste à enseigner une méthode claire pour résoudre les exercices. Beaucoup d’élèves connaissent leur cours mais ne savent pas comment s’y prendre face à un énoncé. Je leur apprends à analyser la consigne, identifier les données importantes, choisir l’outil ou la formule adaptée, structurer leur raisonnement étape par étape et vérifier la cohérence du résultat final. Cette méthode apporte rapidement plus de clarté et de confiance.

Chaque séance alterne explications, mise en pratique et correction détaillée. Les exercices sont choisis en fonction du niveau et des objectifs : consolidation pour les élèves en difficulté, approfondissement pour ceux qui souhaitent viser l’excellence, entraînement spécifique pour les classes à examen. Holding a degree in mathematics from EPFL, I offer private lessons in Geneva or online.

I graduated from EPFL with a degree in mathematics, having completed all the Bachelor's level courses in this discipline. I have gained significant experience tutoring students from middle school to university level (mathematics and physics). I have also assisted with teaching at EPFL, particularly in specialized courses such as analytic geometry (advanced mathematics course), analysis (first and second year Bachelor's level), and linear algebra (first year Bachelor's level). My in-depth mastery of the theory in these disciplines provides me with the skills and teaching abilities necessary to effectively support high school and university students, helping them understand the theoretical concepts in their courses and apply them practically in their exercises.

Typical course: a quick review (adapted to needs) of the essential concepts of the course, followed by practical exercises and oral role-playing (going to the board, discussion on the physical meaning, etc.), as in a competitive oral exam.

All my lessons are prepared in advance based on the topics covered in class (the student specifies their needs from one session to the next). I also create a handout containing sample exercises illustrating different methods, fully corrected and explained by me.
