My name is Arno and I am currently getting my master's degree at Sciences Po Paris in European Affairs. I have always loved languages. I was raised in a trilingual environment through which I learned Dutch, English, and Armenian. Being raised in this environment has changed the way I look at languages. Besides these three, I also speak Norwegian, Spanish, and French at a B2 level (CEFR) as well as Arabic at B1 level (CEFR).

I have more than 5 years of professional experience in language tutoring and know what works and what does not. I have tutored high school and college students and have taught languages to students as young as 7 and as old as 63. A computer science and applied mathematics engineer (PhD in applied mathematics), I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in mathematics. I have also completed teacher training (agrégation) and taught mathematics at Collège Saint-Pierre (Uccle) as well as in two European Schools, in French.

My name is Arjen. I give tutoring and exam training in math and physics for upper secondary education (Dutch HAVO/VWO, IB, or other similar programmes). With a completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, I help students not only with solving problems, but especially with understanding the “why” behind the theory.

I start with a short diagnosis: where is the real difficulty? Based on this, I create a personal learning plan that I share with the student. In this way we work in a focused way on those areas where most is to be gained. During the sessions, the focus is on recognizing structure and analyzing problems step by step, so that students become more independent and their confidence gets a boost.

In my explanations, I regularly use examples from technology and engineering. By linking abstract theory to real applications, it becomes clearer where the mathematics or physics comes from and what it is needed for, and things often suddenly “click”.

I can give lessons both at home and via an online connection. In the latter case, I do this using a tablet, allowing you to follow my explanations and examples live on your screen.

Hi! My name is Daniela. I am half-German and half-Mexican, and for the past nine years, I’ve called the Netherlands home. My passion for languages is rooted in my multicultural background; as a native speaker of both Spanish and German who moved abroad at age ten, I learned English early on and completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the language.
