My name is Daniela; I'm a biologist with a doctoral degree in molecular biology and a master's degree in Immunology. I have experience in cell and molecular biology.

Molecular biology is defined as a collection of techniques that have enabled scientists to understand the molecular basis of biological processes. In this way, it has both complemented and improved biochemistry and genetics. The central dogma of molecular biology describes the process in which DNA is transcribed into RNA, which is then translated into protein. I can help you understand several field of molecular biology and cell biology such as:

-CRISPR/CAS9 gene editing.
-Cloning and expression vectors construction and purification.
-Bacterial transformation for cloning and protein expression.
-Genomic DNA extraction, total RNA extraction and purification, cDNA synthesis, PCR and RT-PCR.
-Protein extraction, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, fluorescent microscopy, ELISA.
-Cell culture techniques.
I also have experience teaching and mentoring. I'm very passionate about scientific illustration, which I believe is very useful as a pedagogical resource to make science accessible to all types of audiences.
