Hi, I teach Irish traditional Music at the Irish Cultural Centre in London. I'm Senior Lecturer in Folk at Leeds Conservatoire and I teach Classical Flute and Folk at Morley College and City Lit. Lessons are fun, friendly and designed to each individual student. all course material is supplied in both audio visual and notated forms. Advice on purchasing instruments is also given.

As an experienced music teacher, I offer recorder and music theory lessons for children and adults of all ages and skill levels!

Originally from Brazil, I have been teaching music for several years. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I have extensive experience as a music teacher, having given private lessons and taught in music academies in Belgium and elsewhere. I develop a unique method for each student so that they can learn in a solid and enjoyable way.

The recorder is an easy instrument to learn, making it a great opportunity for children to begin their musical journey. It provides an initial introduction to musical notation and helps develop their ear. I offer students a fun and dynamic learning experience, where music is made from the very first lesson.

For adults... If you're a beginner, don't worry!
I will teach you how to produce the first sounds on your new instrument, how to blow correctly, how to adopt a good posture, etc. I will help you build, step by step, a solid basic technique that will allow you to play any piece on the flute.

If you are an advanced student or already possess a solid foundation in your instrument, I propose working on refining your technique, taking into account each repertoire. We will explore creativity and sound to produce an increasingly beautiful and eloquent musical expression.

Lessons can take place at the student's home or the teacher's home in Forest. Travel expenses are negotiable depending on the distance.

Since the age of 8, I have been exploring the world of music, particularly the flute. I took flute lessons at the Niedermeyer Conservatory in Issy Les Moulineaux for 10 years and was a flautist in the junior symphony orchestra for 5 years.

Fascinated by the flute, I participated in music competitions, such as "Prodiges" in Paris, obtaining a distinction (18/20) in 2018. I also participated in a music Masterclass at UDELM (Lions Summer University of Music) in Embrun (Hautes-Alpes - 05 France) in 2016.

Above all, I adapt to the student because each student is different, and that's what makes this job so exciting. My method is to learn at least one thing per session on the instrument, whether technical or musical. Among the points to improve in the student musician, I choose the most important or the most easily achievable and I explain to the student how to change it, in the form of a challenge. I have a degree in recorder performance from the École supérieure de musique (ESM) in Dijon, as well as in pedagogy, where I also obtained a State Teaching Diploma. I am continuing my recorder studies with a Master's degree in Brussels.
I have been a recorder teacher at music schools in Marseille, Gray, and at the Besançon Regional Conservatory. I have been giving private lessons for eight years.
I also perform a lot in concerts in various ensembles (baroque, traditional music, etc.). I also play the baroque bassoon and have a degree in musicology. I want to make this activity my profession, in addition to being a professional musician.
