I am an experienced Italian and Spanish teacher from Uruguay with a lifelong passion for languages and cultures. I have loved Italian since childhood and knew early on that teaching would be my path. Languages are not just subjects for me — they are ways of thinking, connecting, and understanding the world.

Being a language student myself (currently studying Dutch at university) helps me stay empathetic and aware of the real challenges learners face, including motivation, consistency, and the so-called “affective filter.” I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported, and intellectually stimulated.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
