I have spent two of these teaching GCSE/A Level English Language and Literature in the UK and twelve in Dubai teaching IGCSE, MYP, and DP (including HL) English Language and Literature in an international school as well as GCSE and A-Level to some of my private one-to one clients.

I offer both 1-to-1 sessions and small group sessions 6-10 students. My lessons are engaging, fun, and interactive.

I like to share model examples of Level 7 (IBDP) Level 9 (IGCSE/GCSE) so learners can see what an excellent one looks like. I encourage learners to develop their vocabulary, spelling, and grammar and support them with analysing language and structure techniques closely explaining the intended meaning.

Being an experienced IBDP and a IGCSE Examiner, Team Leader, and Workshop Leader, I have insight into how responses are marked in examinations so can give my learners accurate advice about what examiners look for.

I develop confidence in my learners and have seen many of my private clients flourish and achieve more than they ever thought was possible. This is due to my ability to develop excellent positive relationships that focus on positive praise and correcting misconceptions quickly so that learners can make outstanding progress.

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. In addition to teaching, I want to do everything to really motivate students to take the next step. That is my strength!

You can also choose the online lesson package with Whereby, Teams or Zoom in a comfortable way. Online classes are one-on-one or maximum one-on-two, for better results.

My English is fluent, as well as Portuguese and Spanish. I understand the difficulties of overcoming barriers for Latin languages and for expats in general, as I have also been an expat.

Online lessons last 75 minutes once a week for 10 weeks to reach a higher level.

This is the normal speed. Including exam training (A-2 or Staatsexamen) and exam at the end.

Intensive training ? That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1

As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities.

I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar.

Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 25 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles.

I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.
