The Art of Public Speaking is a new class taught by Valeria, who is an MA in Applied Theatre in Education, Social and Community Contexts student at Goldsmiths, University of London, TEFL-certified, longtime actor and facilitator, designed for anyone ages 7-65+. The class is structured with drama foundations and vocal techniques that we connect to the craft public speaking. You will not only discover more about yourself and what you're capable of, but this class is designed to help you feel more confident in being who you are. You have everything you need within you, it's time we discover it.

Valeria is a Peruvian-Italian multidisciplinary artist and educator born in Lima, Peru to a Peruvian mother and an Italian father who then immigrated to Canada when she was 11 years old. Fully raised in two rich cultures, Valeria communicates and performs fluently in Spanish, Italian and English. After graduating from Capilano University, she has collaborated with renowned theatre companies in Canada while working simultaneously in film, TV, voice-over and commercials. Select credits include Supergirl (CW), Crest (International Commercial), Advil (International Commercial), Nexplanon (International Commercial), and voicing several characters on Barbie (Mattel). When she is not performing, she is an arts administrator and works for advocacy groups championing social and racial justice. She works for numerous schools and theatre companies creating drama curricula for education and after-school programs. Valeria holds a TEFL-PP certificate, frequently teaches English and Drama in Italy, and is currently finishing her master's degree in Applied Theatre in Education, Social and Community Contexts at Goldsmiths, University of London.
