Many people, over time, lose the ability to converse in a second language after being unable to practice for a long time. This also makes them embarassed to take that first step to talk to people who know the language.

By having a space where people can talk with no judgement and encouraging their participation, my lessons allow students to gain confidence and improve their skills in a comfortable environment, discussing topics that they find interesting.

Über mich

I am a 24 year old Spanish guy living in the Netherlands.

I grew up in Spain, and attended a British school in Madrid, giving me the chance to learn Spanish and English alongside each other since I was very young.
My family is of Peruvian background, which allowed me to better understand the differences between Spanish from Latinamerica and Spain. Moreover, I did my Undergraduate Degree in Scotland, allowing me to immerse myself even more in the language.

As such, I have a good understanding of what works and what doesn't when engaging natives of both English and Spanish backgrounds, and can help filter what would sound odd to a local, improving grammar and sentence structure use to further polish the student's skill.

My lessons are about fun. There will be no judging, regardless of the skill level, as I hope to make my lessons a space where students can feel safe to make mistakes, and learn from them. Due to the nature of the lessons, the content will vary depending on the interests of every student, in the same way a real conversation would, so you can expect variety and engagement.

All I ask from my students is to try to enjoy the lessons, and not worry too much about sounding like a local from the start: we are here to learn!

I did my Undergraduate Degree at the University of Dundee, in the field of Biomedical Sciences.
I am currently doing a Masters Degree at the University of Maastricht, with a specialization in Regenerative Medicine.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

In terms of English, I have the Cambridge C2 Proficiency Exam with a grade A, plus experience of four years living within the UK (Scotland) doing an Undergraduate Degree.
For Spanish, I grew up in Spain, in a Spanish-speaking family. Having been to a school in Spain, I also know how to move onto more formal styles of speech if required.

Spanish and German are two languages you will probably be willing to learn. As a native spanish/german, I have been tutoring both for the last five years, helping mostly students to get a basic/high level. My goal is to keep students challenged and motivated, providing insights regarding vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and speaking.
I am flexible and easy going, to make the study of your language as enjoyable as possible.

I specialize in tutoring spanish and german for school and for people who want to learn the languague. It does not matter whether a person is new to this languague or has some experience. I focus on vocabulary, as well as on writing and oral skills. Every person can decide what to focus on.

I'm a psychology student and I graduated from high school in 2020. My main subjects were math and English (I also spent a year in the USA).
I would come to your house and give tuition in the subjects that are needed. When doing homework, I can also discuss the other subjects.

As for English, I was raised in an international school environment where English was a core part of my education from childhood through high school. I earned my TOEFL certificate before beginning my current bachelor’s studies, which are entirely in English. I've also taught English with a focus on pronunciation, grammar, syntax, and practical communication skills.

When tutoring, I place strong emphasis on tracking progress, often by assigning homework (if agreed upon) and creating clear, structured plans to help students stay on track. I’m always flexible and happy to adapt to each learner’s feedback and preferences to make lessons as enjoyable and engaging as possible.

I offer lessons online or in person—either at my place or yours. Thanks to my bilingual upbringing (with a German mother) and my French-German high school diploma (AbiBac), I can also provide instruction in German if needed.
