Russian/Ukrainian for beginners

This course is designed for students, who have a busy life at work or at home, but want to use basic Russian in everyday conversations. It will allow you to enhance fluency and communication skills, learn phrases for everyday situations, improve your pronunciation and build up your basic vocabulary.

Russian/Ukrainian for Travelers

This practical course is designed for people who are going to Russia, Ukraine or other Russian-speaking country for traveling purposes. It will teach you how to communicate more effectively in Russian conversation and be understood in a variety of everyday speaking situations.

Business Russian

Business Russian course is designed for business people who need good knowledge of Russian for professional purposes and career growth. It is an excellent choice for managers and entrepreneurs working or planning to do business in Russia, Ukraine, or other Russian-speaking country. The course is focused on gaining confidence in business communication in meetings and discussions, negotiations and presentations, telephone conversations, business writing, and networking.

My name is Lydia. I'm a professional Russian & Ukrainian coach and language consultant. I provide tailored Russian & Ukrainian lessons for expats in Kiev from beginner to advanced level and Skype classes for people who are going to visit Ukraine for travel and business purposes and interested in Ukrainian culture and lifestyle. At my lessons I use real-life approach which focuses on developing your communication skills and practicing useful language for everyday situations. In addition, I always have an individual approach to each student.

Education

I studied teaching Russian language and literature in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, and Kyiv. In addition, I have a journalistic background and an experience of working in media and teaching English as a foreign language. I hold a M.A. in Russian Language and Literature and English Studies, a certificate in Economy and International Marketing, and a TESOL certificate.

Expérience / Qualifications

Many of my students are professionals who live and work in Russia or Ukraine. Since 2009 I have been teaching General and Business Russian for corporate clients. My students are using their Russian & Ukrainian skills for companies such as Microsoft, Philip Morris, UniCreditBank, Indesit, L’Oreal, Danone, Boeing, Piraeus Bank, etc.
