Hi there! My name is Thanos and I'm a specialized piano teacher, with 4 years of experience.
I'm a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with a Master in Music Education. I have also a Bachelor degree in Piano Performance from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki.
In my lessons, I'm aiming at creating a friendly atmosphere for my students, as it is essential for the learning process. I'm also ready to create a customized lesson plan for every student depending on their needs and goals. I'm a passionate musician, teacher and an active pianist.
During my first cycle of studies, I was engaged with how to perform and be a concert pianist. Later I realised that it gives me great satisfaction to share the insights that I have learned with other people and I pursued and completed my second cycle of studies in the field of Pedagogy.
My primary goal as a teacher is to help my students create a healthy bond between technique and musical expression. In my lessons I emphasize at motivation and encouragement which are important for reaching the goals that, together with my students, we will create and help each of them according to their special way and pace of learning.

Composition lessons are for anyone who wishes to compose music, for any instrument, emsemble and/or electronics music.

My teaching method combines various approaches and styles, supporting practice with theoretical knowledge, and most important developing creativity and helping the student in making their imagionary visions come real.

For each student a different palate of tools is offered, according to the student's musical wishes and ambitions.

I teach the basis of western-music composition - theory, harmony, counterpoint, score-reading, solfege, rhythm, analysis and more.
Further I suggest broad overview of world, jazz, pop, new/contemporary music, various styles in electronic music (popular and experimental), improvisatory compositions, graphic notation, text and game pieces, music for theater, film and dance and interdicsiplinary works which combine music with other art fields.

For beginner piano students, I use the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library and Suzuki Piano School. I can teach fluently in both English and Turkish as well as in some Dutch (improving all the time). I completed my Bachelor of Music in viola performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag with a minor in Music Education. At the same time, I have a certificate in teaching artistry from a certificate program called ‘The Global Leaders Program, where for my fieldwork assignment, I traveled to Chile and Jamaica and there I taught music intensively to kids who are underserved. I believe that a good teacher is one who is open to learning (because learning never stops) and who has experience in various situations. I am a very experienced teacher with an open mind and I am here to help you or your kid to learn an instrument in the most effective and fun way.

Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have 9 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while passing on my knowledge to help the student develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music.

I organize 2 class concerts per year in a beautiful venue, so that the pupils perform their favourite pieces and showcase their progress to family, friends, and classmates.

BACKGROUND:
Dominyka is a professional singer, singing, and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague. She plays piano, violin and writes her own music.
Over the past decade, she graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Netherlands with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in jazz singing and in pedagogical minor studies. She had a chance to participate in various music festivals as a singer, have concerts of her own, be behind the scenes in various TV shows, and win several vocal competitions, and she truly developed her ears and her knowledge that she is now also able to help others to find their own unique singing voice.

She has developed her knowledge of vocal technique, CVT method, stage presence, body language, storytelling, composition, writing, improvisation and so on. with various great teachers from all over the world. As well as, she had the honour to participate in workshops of Snarky Puppy, Dianne Reeves, Dena DeRose, Bob Stoloff, Norma Winstone, Magda Mayas, Fay Classon, etc. In addition, she took a course with Stevie Mackey, and Cheryl Porter and had lessons with Natalie Weiss. Dominyka has a passion for music production and currently she is learning more about mixing.

LESSONS:

I whole-heartedly promise that with our singing lessons, you will learn more about your own voice and that you will develop your own sound as a singer. My students prove time and time again that they enjoy the lessons very much and they notice clear improvements themselves.

We work on warm-ups/warm-downs, breath support and its control, sound projection, how the larynx, jaw, and tongue work and can function freely, vowel placement, vocal effects, vocal color, dynamics, articulation, stage presence, high notes - power singing (belting), jazz improvisation, vocal improvisation, interpretations, rhythmic variations, and so much more.

My goal for you is to have the best time and spend lesson time wisely while we achieve the best results in singing. If there is a wish, I can also help you to broaden your knowledge about the repertoire that is suiting to your voice color, recording sessions, live performance situations, "a workout plan for singing", songwriting/composing, music theory, ear-training, solfeggio, and such.

I recognise that every voice is unique, and that's why my singing lessons are customised to suit each individual student. The focus is on building a strong foundation in vocal technique, honing performance skills, and curating a versatile repertoire that aligns with your musical aspirations.

The structure and the material of the lesson are formulated based on every pupil and his/her preferences while at the same time it can also be configured according to established music and piano methods. I also love to encourage my pupils to share their passion about specific music styles or pieces with me, in order to include them in the teaching process, by arranging them based on their skills. Important section of the course is the improvisation which aims to the independence of the pupil from the music score, the mastering of technical difficulties but also to the development of pupil’s creative thinking.

Teaching preschool kids (4-6) is always a challenge but through my experience I have formulated a method in which the young pupils approach music with an enjoyful way. Through my guidance they become familiar with rhythm, ear training, singing, playing by heart short melodies with both hands, improvising, and at later stages they get introduced to music notation through games, drawing and other formats.

All piano lessons are taught on a classical piano at my home studio and may take place also at your location.

Saxophone lessons in the centre of Den Haag.

Miguel is a very fun and experienced teacher that has been playing for 26 years and teaching saxophone for more than 10 years.

In couple of lessons you can already play melodies with your saxophone for your family and friends.
Many of his students went from cero to be part of bands and play concerts around the city.

We start with the basics of the saxophone, and we learn to play your favourite songs, read music, improvise and play in bands. From zero to saxophone hero Miguel can guide you through the whole process keeping it fun all the way.

Miguel has a master degree from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, a Bachelors degree from the Conservatory of Lisbon (ESMAE) and has studied Jazz and Classical music. Hi !

I am Héloïse, a french cellist and singer who lives in The Netherlands since two years. I finished to study at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium in june and am now a professional musician and, among other a cello teacher at the Lindenberg Center in Nijmegen.

After teaching music theory for two years in a french conservatory, I realised how much teaching is very important for me and helps me to grow as a musician. I like to adapt to the student and try to find a solution in any pedagogical situation.
I can teach all cello and singing levels, and all ages. I can also give some music theory lessons.

Hi all! My name is Anna Jane, and I am a violinist and teacher based in The Hague. My own musical journey began at age four in Florida with Suzuki training, progressed through classical studies and fiddle jams in Nashville, and culminated in baroque-specific training at The Juilliard School and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
