Chess coaching from a top 1% player. 1700 rated on chess.com. New to chess, this is the class for you! With a patient and student led focus, I aim to inspire you to be passionate about chess and understand the underlying principles behind why top players make the moves they make. With quite a positional and methodical approach to the game I teach in a principled way. Often called ‘Russian school boy’ the style I try to emulate is that of Karpov, who frustrates his opponents with unending rigour, like a boa constrictor squeezing his opponent’s position.

I am a patient and kind teacher. I am very passionate about the subjects I teach and look forward to sharing my interest in them with you. I teach GCSE Maths, Physics, and I also teach chess.
