Je propose des cours de flûte traversière, de tous niveaux et également un soutien ou un éveil au solfège, afin d'avoir des bases nécessaires à l'apprentissage d'un instrument. Je suis ouverte à toute sorte de musique bien que spécialisée dans la musique classique. Je suis étudiante à la haute école de musique de Bern.

Mes disponibilités sont très variables, c'est pour cela quel serait préférable d'en parler au cas par cas.

I am currently doing my second Masters in Music Performance at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. Coming from Singapore/London, both English and Mandarin Chinese are my first languages. I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the age of 16. I also speak fluent Polish, French and a little German. I take students of all ages, and have experience with students as young as 4 years old. I am currently in Master of Arts in musical interpretation, concert orientation at the Geneva University of Music on the Neuchâtel site.
I teach violin, piano and music theory with passion to students of all ages, both beginners and experienced by adapting my approach according to each one.

My lessons focus on joy, practice, and understanding of the instrument as well as music in general. The theoretical aspect is obviously included, for all levels. It is for me elementary to bring a maximum of motivation to my students, to allow them to have fun with their knowledge and to be able to play with other musicians.

Music theory, an essential subject to deeply understand music.
As I am Hungarian, I studied the Kodály method. It is a rather special method which is characterized by a lot of singing, creativity and rhythmic games, which was invented for the education of the people, not for the musical elite. Its effectiveness is proven by many musicians who have grown up in this extraordinary system.
During the lessons we would do several types of exercises:
- listening exercises
- writing exercises
- sing songs, melodies, chords, intervals...
(I am flexible regarding this subject, the student can advise activities/subjects (ex: history of music...))

The goal:
- find the connection between musicality-instrument-theory
- improve ear (absolute/relative), sight-reading, musicality, theoretical knowledge

Learn to play the flute! First, we will focus on the sound production, the position of the mouthpiece and your posture. Then we will deal with playful pieces, we can play in duet and play melodies that you like. Playing the flute will help you develop your memory, hearing and breathing skills.

My focus is on the styles of rock/pop/jazz and improvisation. I would also be happy to delve into music theory and show you the basics (and beyond...) of harmony.

If you're not a grader, it doesn't matter! My first piano lessons were very note based and almost ruined my playing! I'm a firm believer that playing songs by ear from the start helps us absorb songs faster. After obtaining my Master’s degree in performance orientation, I am currently doing my Master's degree in instrumental pedagogy at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern. My goal is to guide my students in the discovery of the cello repertoire and technique by using innovative learning methods and the synthesis of the different styles of music.

I am a Master's student in Music Education at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, majoring in jazz. I have been a member of many different musical groups, in several styles (jazz, reggae, rock, throat singing, etc.), and I compose for ensembles ranging from solo to big band.
I have been giving lessons for several years to students of all levels.

My classes are flexible and adaptable to the student's desires, abilities, and goals. We begin by defining them, then I propose different working methods that we then put into practice. We can cover the basics of the instrument as well as its history, a multitude of musical styles, music theory, pure technique, or discover innovative artists, depending on the student's preferences.

This course is aimed at beginner and intermediate students of classical violin, jazz and contemporary music.

For beginner students:
We cover technical elements such as violin and bow positioning and holding, bow movement, left-hand placement, scales, and positions. We also work on developing ear training and rhythm. We may also introduce basic music theory concepts, such as reading notes.
Finally, we work on learning pieces, according to the student's desires and musical styles.

For intermediate students, here are different approaches depending on their musical styles and desires.

For jazz and improvised music: scales or arpeggios that can be played on a given chord, modes and their use, rhythm, improvisation exercises, phrasing (swing, Latin, funk, etc.), learning jazz standards, how to amplify on stage, etc.

For classical music: scales and arpeggios, technical exercises for the left and right hand, how to put together a piece, musicality and interpretation.
