Qualified English Tutor with level 5 TEFL qualification

I have a level 5 TEFL qualification and have been practicing teaching lessons in various ways and through various methods. I find the best way to teach a new concept in English is to make the lessons engaging through primarily conversing in English and practicing grammar and pronunciation in a more interesting way, through games, role plays, listening activities and so on. I would therefore aim to make the lessons interesting and targeted at specific parts of the English language that students would like to work on.

I graduated from University with a 2.1 degree in Anthropology and Spanish, with a first honours. I love reading and creative writing and find that enjoying the company of a good book or writing about something you are interested in is a great way to learn or improve a new language! I have worked with children for the last 4 years and absolutely love spending time playing and learning with young children. I think that if learning is made fun it is more easily absorbed as there is a higher level of engagement between the teacher and the student. I have had experience in one on one tutoring for English and Anthropology throughout my time at University and would love to use the skills that i have learnt throughout my degree to help people improve their English vocabulary in an interesting way. As i have recently moved to Spain from London and have a beginner's level of Spanish, I think it would be beneficial for English students to converse primarily in English to constantly be using the skills they are learning.
