Como fotógrafo documental de profesión, con valiosas experiencias junto a instituciones como la FAO, UNICEF y el PMA entre otras, el enfoque natural de mi trabajo está definido por una visión que pretende como fin primario conectar con el espíritu de la calle y su gente, con el objetivo de encontrar siempre en el ámbito de la fotografía urbana buenas historias que contar.

¿Qué es la fotografía urbana?
Podríamos decir que la definición de fotografía callejera es tan amplia y diversa como variado es el estilo de fotógrafos que día a día nos encontramos por las calles despuntando este vicio.
Mi primera experiencia consciente con la fotografía callejera se dio como una extensión de mi trabajo. Apenas dominaba los recursos básicos de la primera réflex que pasaba por mis manos, pero como comunicador responsable de un programa llevado adelante por la ACNUR que buscaba dignificar el trabajo de las mujeres en Centroamérica, me di a la tarea de documentar la fuerza laboral femenina en espacios urbanos por esta región. La apertura de la gente en las calles de San Salvador y Ciudad de Guatemala hicieron su magia. La profunda conexión que logré establecer con aquellos pequeños detalles que retratan a toda sociedad en su ámbito más sincero, la calle, despertaron en mi una necesidad (hoy casi un vicio) de comenzar a llevar conmigo una cámara donde fuera.
