I use a combination of teaching methodologies depending on the student and the reason for them wanting to study. I am very patient and I believe, for young children, education should be fun and varied to keep their interest and enthusiasm and to make them happy to study whilst working at their own speed and capability. With teenagers and mature students it is important to interact with them and incorporate things they would find interesting or appeal to them such as their work, music or films and the reasons they want, or need, to learn English. The most important thing is that they want to continue learning as their confidence grows and I will evaluate the progress at the end of each class to make sure objectives are met or where more work is required.
