Hi !

I am a 21 french student from Paris, France. I am studying social sciences in a good university and am in Shanghai for a exchange program of one year with Fudan University.

I offer french private lessons at all levels, preferably for students or children. I can give a hand for the homework, help improving pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and explain things about french culture !

I am not a professional teacher but I have tutored students before (11-15 years old in Paris).

I can also help a little with English homework, at beginner and intermediate level. I am not a native speaker but I have the TOEFL (grade: 100/120).

I live near the subway stations lingping Lu (line 4) and Youdian Xincun (line 10). I can come at the learner's place if needed.

French student of a French Business school proposes French classes in order to learn and understand the French culture and the French language.
This course is accessible to everybody. It can take any form you want, from a very formal procedure with the learning of grammar and tenses, to a less formal procedure that would allow you to discover the French traditions and culture, such as movies, food, etc. while learning the language in a fun way.

I specialize in the French language.
I have already taught French to students from the netherlands (Between 19 and 26 years old) and I am currently giving French lessons as well to a young chinese child of 10 years old.
The best thing to learn rapidly is to have regular lessons that is why I give homework to do and in the beginning of each lesson I ask what we learn during the previous lesson.
I use different tools to attract the student like audio, video, book.

My name is Hicham (Here the French spelling of my first name make it sound "HiTChem" in English speaking countries - which i find awful to hear :) so the exact spelling to pronounce it right should be Heesham). And this is the perfect example that Pronounciation is one of the most important matter in French learning; not only for you to be able to understand French words and learn them, but also and mostly to be able to be understood when you speak them. Just like it's hard to understand a new english speaker with a strong foreign accent

Imagine: "Un ver vert va vers un verre vert". Which means that a green worm is going towards a green glass. This doesn't make any sense but it illustrates what we call Homonymes. The word homonyme comes from Latin, more specifically as "Homos" (similar) and "onoma" (name). And it get more complicated when Homophones have the same pronounciation but not the same meaning nor the same spelling. Or worst; "Homographes" which are written the same spelling but complete different meaning and pronounciation. And finally the most tricky ones are the perfect Homonymes like:" un TOUR de magie" and la TOUR d'un chateau. (Magic trick and Castle Tower)...

But don't worry - You don't need to understand what the Oceans are made of to be able to swim.
