Qualified Teacher in English As a Second Language. I have experience with a wide range of levels and ages, most importantly between 8 and 17 years old. Tutoring has provided me a particular insight of teaching English, where I adapt to the client's needs.
If the needs is rather to learn day-to-day English or French, I rather practice through games, interactive activities and real-life examples. Most importantly, I priviledge conversation tasks.

I have experience tutoring French, to children and young adults. I am a dedicated tutor who is constantly trying to understand how to best tailor my teaching technique to the individual needs of the student. I assign homework after lessons that is specifically targeted to the skills.

High school biology and economics were my favorite IB subjects, and I would be confident to explain the concepts to high school students. I have already tutored younger students when I was in school.

I speak French and English fluently and used to do after school tutoring of various school subjects for children and teenagers. Learning languages can be a fun and interesting experience that will always be useful, and that's something that I want to share. I adapt my teaching style to different people's needs so we'd discuss that during the 1st lesson. We don't have to limit ourselves to languages either, I'm happy to help out with homework if you/your child has difficulties at school, so we can also do maths (to a relatively basic level), history-geography, etc.

Many people, over time, lose the ability to converse in a second language after being unable to practice for a long time. This also makes them embarassed to take that first step to talk to people who know the language.

By having a space where people can talk with no judgement and encouraging their participation, my lessons allow students to gain confidence and improve their skills in a comfortable environment, discussing topics that they find interesting.

My goal is to understand the expectations of my students in order to customize the classes and satisfy their needs. Moreover, I strongly believe that when you start learning a new language, you get to know more about the culture. In this sense, you will learn and improve your Spanish and also get to know about the Latin culture without having to travel there.

I give personalized lessons to help you reach the level you are looking for. My lessons are based on interaction. They are also structured so that you quickly learn the basics of the French language and that you can communicate and make yourself understood in any situation after just a few lessons. My courses will be tailored to your needs.
For the little ones, I give fun lessons through games, songs and communication. My goal is for my lessons to be a good time for you and not a chore, I want my students to learn with pleasure, joy and good humor. I keep the classes flexible. For example, these can always be canceled and they do not have to be scheduled with much time in advance. I want to keep my relationship with the student and parents personal, as I am only a student myself.

My name is Barbara, a student at Maastricht University and an English teacher. Our classes will be very diverse. As I am Polish and I study international law at Maastricht University, I will only teach in English. I will be using many different teaching methods; from reading some english stories, watching english short films to directing live scenes with me. I have some experience tutoring small children in Poland. Since I attended the IB (international baccalaureate) program in high school and I now study in English, I have sufficient English skills for the lessons. Sorry for the probably multiple errors in this Dutch description, I was translating the English version.

I have taught English to International Teaching Assistants at the University of Southern California and assisted with English classes in South America. I am open to all levels of English speakers.... I would love to do language exchange classes (ex. practice English/Dutch). I am an intermediate-advanced Spanish speaker as well if there are Spanish-speaking students looking to learn/exchange English as well!

Classes will not begin until the end of January

I offer private classes to elementary school children who speak Spanish as their first language or are trying to learn Spanish. I can also help with math, although I don't speak Dutch. I am studying my first international baccalaureate in Maastricht and I am from Spain. It is not my first experience giving private classes, since last year I also did it. The schedule is flexible.
