Having lived and worked in France for several years, and studied at the University of Versailles, I have developed a deep understanding of the French language, culture, and society. Who am I ?

Native Romanian, with rich experience teaching Romanian to French people, fluent in two foreign languages, French and English, as well as a beginner language, Spanish. I had the chance to live in Versailles for several years, where I continued my university studies. These years were very formative for me.
I am a friendly and patient person and I like to create a relaxed and friendly learning environment for my students.

I studied English in a bilingual high school and continued to work in the marketing sector in English and French. I also lived in the United States where I worked for 6 months during the “Work and Travel” program in one of the most beautiful amusement parks in the world and that's where I had the opportunity to learn “everyday” English, by interacting with my colleagues at work, my travel colleagues and especially the customers with whom I had to speak every day.

I am an open-minded, encouraging, calm person and I am a good listener. I am passionate about cooking and discovering new cultures. Being a former student myself here in France, I learned that the most effective method is the rather informal one, because I think that this is how we learn a language most easily, by exchanging on subjects diverse, in a relaxed context.

I create a learning experience (content and pace) adapted to your needs: speaking fluently, DELF/ DALF test preparation, conversations to help with travel or relocation or simply the pleasure of talking about subjects you are interested in. I work with a variety of online resources, all of which is shared with you after the lesson. For structure and to evaluate progress, I also work with certain books depending on the level and the requirement. I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

I always begin a first lesson with an introduction and a spontaneous chat with the student to understand their situation, motivations, and goals.
