Hi Guys!!!!! Im Lina María. I was born in the beautiful City of Barranquilla in the Atlantic coast of Colombia. I lives in this wonderful city for 19 years. I lived for 9 years in Germany, but I wanted always to move to Lebanon, because my roots, my favorite food, an also people that I love are there.

I love to teach, because I can also learn a lot from my students and I love to communicate. For me is important to listen why a person want to learn Spanish and what the person want to learn, so I can prepare my classes individually. I have a lot of patience teaching, for me the most important thing is that my students are happy, feel comfortable and have the feeling they are really learning things that will help them to have a conversation for the daily routine, or for work, or for vacations Etc.

Because I studied Social Work and work as Coach, I also have my methods to motivate people, so they feel secure in life to reach their goals and I love to listen their stories or whatever they want to express. :)

Before I graduated I worked helping homelessness, also for the Health Ministery, Youth Welfare, Kindergarden, Shelter for Elderly people, and teaching kids. After I graduated from the University I began to work in a Refugee Camp for families from Syria, Irak, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kosovo and Somalia. I did the administration work, coordinated the social team. Also I was the responsible for the networking with other institutions and politicians and for the registration of schools, language curses, controlling the donations, giving consultation about conflicts solutions, Asylum law and coordinating external activities for the families. During this period I became offered from the company to lead two Education programs in the city of Dessau in Germany, One was a program for young refugees and the objective was the integration in work society and the other program was for the reintegration of unemployed Germans. I was teaching them different subjects and also doing networking with different institutions, coordinating activities, interships and administrative things. Because I had a lot of fun leading seminars and coaching I began to do this with in Berlin for a private Company. I was involved in 3 different projects for single moms, long term unemployed people and for immigrants and people with asylum situation. I coached these clients individually and in groups leading seminars about stressmanagement, marketing, labor law, Social System, german, and about intercultural pedagogy. Also I represented the company in many occasions at laboral fairs.

Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
