I am a native English speaker and have six years' experience teaching English to adults and children (read my reviews below). I received my Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Adults from International House in 2008. I am offering lessons to adults and children that will improve your grammar, vocabulary and speaking. I provide all the materials for the lesson and tailor the lesson to your needs. I can do lessons via webcam and can email you materials for the lesson. (webcam lessons price negotiable)
In Paris I taught one to one Business English classes with 'Linguarama' and in Morocco I taught English at two universities and to children, teenagers and adults at a language school. In Dublin I taught with the globally recognised school, Education First (EF) and in Belgium and Greece I gave one to one classes.

I speak French but I prefer to keep to English as much as possible during the lesson.

- I have experience in teaching learners of all ages but the bulk of my experience is with young adults and adults.
- I emphasise a communicative approach, with a minimum of 'teacher talk time'. I use speaking activities to encourage students to actively practice the grammar and vocabulary that we cover which results in the student being able to expand their conversation abilities.

I began my teaching career in Paris working for 'Wall Street English'. I then worked for 'Linguarama' for the rest of my time in Paris where I taught one to one Business English lessons. The next two years of my teaching career were spent in Rabat, where I taught with 'Amideast'. There I taught all levels of General English. Each Summer I returned to Dublin where I taught General English to young adults. I spent over a year working for the Dublin branch of the international school EF, where I taught General English, grammar workshops, and conversation classes to adults.

I am a qualified English teacher offering face-to-face and online lessons in Marseille.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced, young or old, want to improve your general English or simply focus on a specific area of the language, I can create a course tailored to your needs that will take you to the next level quickly.

The courses I offer include General English, Business English and Exam English (TOEFL/IELTS). My lessons are based on certified ESL textbooks, but I adapt them to focus on what you want to learn. These can be specific topics - for example, current affairs, hobbies or work - or a particular area of language - such as pronunciation, grammar, conversation or writing. In fact, you decide the program!

About me: I am a 32 year old English speaker from the UK with over eight years of teaching experience. Since obtaining my Cambridge Certified Teaching Certificate in 2011, I have taught a wide range of ages, levels and class sizes in the Netherlands, Indonesia, Turkey, Germany and the United Kingdom. I specialize in teaching pronunciation, grammar and writing. Having given private lessons to several French speakers in my last job in London, I am well placed to understand your needs as a native French speaker.

As a bonus, I am also a journalist and editor-in-chief. This means that whether you need to work on English presentations, need help writing essays, or simply want to improve your conversation skills on current affairs topics, I can work with you to give each area a little more sparkle.

The most important thing for me is that you enjoy learning. I believe in having fun in class and I enjoy learning from my students. Having studied several foreign languages myself, including French, I know how difficult, but also rewarding, learning a language can be.
