Je spendeert vaak tijd achter je computer, geluidsmodules, synths of midi-toestellen om stevige beats, een hypnotiserende groove, dromerige soundscapes of een meeslepend verhaal te creëren. I will produce beats using my techniques and methods during the lessons and I'll try to transplant in you the beauty of immagine, composing, editing, mix and producing your own ideas, IN YOUR OWN NATURAL WAY.

As long as I'm not an academic teacher what I'm offering is close contact with my students to inspire, correct when is really needed and create together what is really close to our soul.
The most important goal during our path? To work and discover your strong points and avoid the bad ones trying to understand them, understand your root.

Mijn ervaring is verbonden met verschillende bedrijven (MU Interactive, Simple Frame, Lightcraft, en ModulorVR daar ik video editing / mapping, VFX, SFX, 2d / 3d animaties, motion graphics deed). Voor ModulorVR werkte ik volledig op afstand ook.

Ik werk vooral met After Effects (met Poolse bedrijven klanten zoals MediaMarkt, Mediatech, ING enz), ik studeerde Final Cut en Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere ook) met mijn reclame school. Nu gebruik ik Blender, Cinema 4d, p5.js of Processing ook.

Volgens testen van Gallup voor team-werken zijn mijn 3 toptalenten:
1. Strategie 2. Input 3. Empathie. Ik heb ook veel ervaringen opgedaan met andere industries, ik werkte met kleine of grote teams nu studeer ik ook het Nederlands, ik verbeter mijn communicatie door offline met mensen te werken.

Doe ik vrijwilligerswerk voor FITC (Future Innovation Technology Creativity), ik Beeple of Pak persoonlijk daar ontmoette. Dus natuurlijk werd ik enthousiast over NFTs, crypto of defi en ben ik nu nog meer geobsedeerd door podcasts weer. Voordat ik Beeple of GMunk ontmoette, luisterde ik ook naar podcasts met hen. En Ik studeerde kunstgeschiedenis om voor de toekomst te bereiden.

Mijn eerste filmpjes maakte ik toen ik een tiener was, mijn visuele workflows begonnen met compilaties over voetbal... En zo verdiende ik mijn eerste geld (toen ik 15 jaar was), dat deed ik met onze internationale collectief voor SportsMaxTV. (volledig op afstand) Met Poolse visuele bedrijven werkte ik als video-editor / videomapper of motion designer, en nu woon ik in Nederland, dus word ik meer communicatief en sportief. Altijd leren is echt belangrijk voor mij. Ben ik niet bang voor nieuwe dingen, innovaties en om slimmer of harder te werken.

As a music producer I've been working with Ableton live for both recording and making music as well as Live performances.

I'm comfortable using Ableton stock plugins but also 3th party plugins such as Fabfilter plugins (Q3, R, L2,...) and making percussive sounds with Serum (or Operator in Ableton).
I also do a lot of sounddesign using my prophet 6 or record guitar and make it stand out in the mix.

I'm very happy to hear what you like to learn so I can adjust the lessons to exactly what you need!

Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. Music has always been my way of exploring the world — through raw field recordings, synthesis, and emotional storytelling. Over the past 12 years, I’ve developed a complete, self-sufficient creative process: from concept to composition, sound design to vocal production, mixing, mastering, and live performance. I’m passionate about helping others gain those same end-to-end technical skills — so they can bring their own musical vision fully to life.

As Malvae, I’ve written, sung, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and performed all of my work. My music reached #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathered millions of streams, and featured in international film productions including King of the Streets and Netflix’s Terrace House Japan. One of the most formative moments in my career was my Amazonas album project, where I traveled into the Amazon rainforest to record and manipulate natural sounds. 90% of that album was created entirely from these field recordings, reshaped through granular synthesis and advanced sound design into a cohesive sonic journey. That experience deeply shaped how I approach my music and how I teach sound design and composition.

I’ve headlined shows at iconic venues like Melkweg Amsterdam with immersive, self-built audiovisual live sets using Ableton Live, modular gear, sequencers, and Resolume for live integrated visuals. I curated my own events and performed at venues like A’dam Tower, OT301. I also teach at studios such as Wisseloord in Hilversum, guiding students through the technical and creative intersections of sound and performance.

Selected Works & Collaborations:

My EP Like Bees to a Hive began as a soundscape for fashion brand Lobomar’s collection Final Orders, Please, presented at the Amsterdam World Museum. I collaborated with South African poet Julia-Beth Harris, integrating her spoken word into a seamless, atmospheric release. From sequential Prophet 6 textures to ADX1 drum machine layers and detailed field recordings, I handled every layer, from concept through multitrack production to the final live performance in London.

My Chrysalis EP, released as a limited-edition heavyweight red vinyl, pushed that even further, combining ethereal vocals, analog grit, and unique textures to craft an emotionally rich release. I personally led every part of the project’s technical and creative execution, from arrangement and vocal production to final mixing, mastering and vinyl press preparation.

In addition to my own projects, I’ve worked as a vocal producer and mixing engineer, including on Esther Veen’s EP Before I Go, where I handled recording, complex vocal layering, creative processing, production, multivocal arrangement and final mixing to deliver a polished, high-impact sound.

Modulaire synthesis, daar moet je zijn als het gaat om nieuwe elektronische muziektechnologieën. Het toffe aan werken met eurorack (modular synthesis) is dat je gaande weg je eigen elektronisch muzieksysteem kunt bouwen. In deze lessenreeks leer je de in's and out's van een aantal essentiële eurorack modules kennen, vco's, vcf's, vca's etcetera, en je gaat ermee aan de slag. Je hoeft helemaal niks te betalen, want VCV rack, een software programma, is gratis.
